About
Dr. Washington is a warm and engaging orthodontist treating patients in the greater New York City metropolitan area. He is a certified orthodontist, and is certified in Invisalign®. Dr. Washington is one of the few Insignia™ providers in the greater New York City area and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Washington graduated from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, before he earned his degree in orthodontics from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He provides many treatments including Invisalign for teens and adults, surgical orthodontics, Insignia digital braces, traditional metal braces, ceramic braces, interceptive pediatric treatments, growth modification — headgear, expanders, functional appliances — sleep apnea treatment, and TMJ treatment. Dr. Washington's patient care is influenced by his Southern upbringing; he is calm and comforting, and is determined to educate his patients about their orthodontic care. Furthermore, he comes from a long line of educators, which has allowed Dr. Washington to develop a unique approach that his patients have fallen in love with. Dr. Washington enjoys running marathons, triathlons, and snowboarding. Additionally, he likes to play pickup basketball and read a good book. He is also extremely involved with his community, and he has participated in multiple ``give a kid a smile`` programs. He has provided dental exams and treatments to children and adolescents living below the poverty line. Also, Dr. Washington served patients at an international level in Santiago, Chile where he organized a pediatric topical fluoride program.
