I've had great experiences with Dr. Kim and Dr. Lee at Young Smile Dental—they are both good dentists. However, the current reception staff is frustratingly unclear and unhelpful. When I initially asked about payment, I was told multiple times that I’d receive a discount for paying in full which is great since I do not have dental insurace.

However, when it came time to settle the bill, I was informed the discount only applied if I paid in cash—something that was never mentioned in my earlier conversations. When I tried to clarify the situation, the staff didn’t seem to care at all about resolving the issue. They were more focused on getting me to pay quickly and leave, rather than addressing my concerns. It felt like my questions were being ignored, and they just wanted to move on to the next patient. This lack of care and communication from the front desk is disappointing, especially considering how helpful the staff used to be a couple years ago.

While the dental care from Dr. Kim and Dr. Lee is good, I would advise caution when dealing with the reception staff for payments and appointments. Unfortunately, the experience at the front desk has made me reconsider returning.

Dr. Kim is an excellent dentist. The exam was very thorough and all findings were explained in detail. He was kind, cordial, and professional. I felt very comfortable and was informed throughout the entire process. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for dental care.

I was looking for a good dentist that I could go to for regularly check ups and appointments. And then I found YoungSmile Dental the moment I walked in everyone was so nice the receptionist greeted me and welcomed me and all the staff were great and were trained very well! I really liked Doctor Young he was very professional and was very nice and kind.

I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely also be going back!

⸻ No need to go to this dental clinic—truly disappointed. I informed the receptionist that I would be about 10 minutes late due to traffic and needing to pick up my daughter. I was only two blocks away from the clinic when the receptionist called to reschedule my appointment. While I understand their policy on lateness, I clearly explained that I would arrive in less than 5 minutes.

However, the Korean receptionist ignored my explanation and insisted on rescheduling. This lack of empathy and understanding toward patients’ circumstances was extremely frustrating. Save yourself the trouble and find a clinic that treats patients with more respect and flexibility.
