If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Dr. Chassen is amazing, I would not let anyone else do my root canal except him. Empathetic, gentle, professional. The staff from the front desk to the ladies working in the back with the doctor were absolutely great. I highly recommend. Thank you Dr. Chassen and thank you to the Staff! God Bless.

Stay far far away from this practice! Front office is extremely rude and don't like answering any questions you have acting like it's a bother to them and to just accept what they say. They will charge you $350 if you need to cancel your appointment 24 hours before your scheduled visit no matter the situation! They do not warn you in advance of this and that is purely illegal in my book, especially a charge like that for a new patient! They refused to even provide me with proof of that and hung up on me without acknowledging my request to send the proof to me by email.

They were not interested in making anything right with me.

I went to Weiss and Chassen on a recommendation from my dentist in Pelham, NY for an immediate root canal on a back molar today. They took me the same afternoon and I think it might have been one of the best experiences I've had in a dentist's chair for anything more than a cleaning. Dr. Chassen was extremely sensitive to signs that I was in pain and numbed me so well that I never felt more than a pinch. I was in and out of the chair in an hour for a complete root canal! One of the best dental experiences I've ever had and I have had a LOT. I have 3 bridges, and had a few caps and fillings over the years.

The office assistants were all very nice and the equipment is all state-of-the-art. I was very happy with my appointment. [And on a side-note, someone mentioned in another comment that there might be some racism going on at this office. I was shocked to read that because I am a black woman and I felt totally respected and did not sense anything of the kind. ]

It’s been 20 years and I see in the reviews that Dr. Weiss is still committing crimes against his patients. I can tell you that every 1 star review sums up what it was like to deal with this dentist. Unfortunately he was recommended to me by my then dentist about 20 years ago and it was absolutely horrible dealing with him. His communication skills were terrible. And I seriously question his dental skills because I had to have his root canal work looked at by 3 different dentists because I was still in pain after the root canal work was completed. Two of the dentist that looked at his work looked very unhappy after seeing it, but refused to get involved.

The 3rd was my then dentist and he managed to get the cap to fit that tooth perfectly. Fortunately my pain disappeared with the new cap. To this day I don’t think I actually needed a root canal. I think I just needed a new cap. Of course Dr. Weiss wasn’t going to tell me I didn’t need the $1,000 root canal. I even asked my then dentist if he was getting a kickback from Dr.

Weiss because I couldn’t see any other reason why he would recommend him. If your dentist recommends this endodontist you need to question it. His work is not good and he’s unethical if he performs unnecessary procedures. I feel Dr. Weiss has been enabled by other dentists because they protect him with their silence and refuse to stand by patients who have been harmed by him. Very sad to see he’s still getting away with crimes against his patients.
