Originally from Cali, Colombia, Dr. Lopez earned her dental degree from the Universidad de Cartagena in 1996, followed by a two-year program in Health Care Administration and a three-year master's program in Prosthodontics at Universidad Javeriana. She had a private prosthodontics practice in Bogota, taught at dental schools, and lectured internationally before moving to the United States in 2006. She obtained her American Dental License (DDS) from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2012, where she also received prestigious awards for excellence. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Lopez specializes in cosmetic and full-mouth rehabilitation. Her expertise includes esthetic fillings, smile designs, fixed restorations (crowns, bridges, veneers, implants), removable restorations (dentures, partials), implant-supported restorations, and the management of Bruxism, temporo-mandibular pain and disorders, and sleep apnea. She is highly regarded for her patient-centric approach, taking the time to understand individual needs and alleviate anxiety during procedures. Dr. Lopez is an active member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Richmond Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She has also been recognized with awards such as Richmond Magazine's "Top Pro-Bono Dentist" and "A Top Prosthodontist." Outside of her practice, she dedicates her time to her family and enjoys tennis, travel, and hiking, in addition to volunteering her dental skills to help those in need.
