I've seen Dr. Vence for about 15 years (since he was in Dundee). I was young and had a sense of invincibility and neglected my oral care ("young people don't need to see the dentist!"). However my mouth was in bad shape with some deep pocketing below the gums. Nobody likes hearing bad news and it's easy to put your head in the sand and ignore the problem, hoping it will go away. They got me back in a healthy state without surgery. Now I enjoy going.

For many people going to the dentist is not something they look forward to -- it's like pulling teeth (pun intended). After seeing Dr. Vence for so many years it doesn't feel like going to the dentist, it feels like a second home. I like hearing that I'm healthy (and if I'm not, we can catch it in time to correct it so it doesn't become a bigger, more expensive, permanent problem). They helped me realize my teeth are an investment -- as an adult you only have one pair so take care of them. Additionally, everyone in the office, Dr. Vence, Kelly, Lynn, Kristen, etc.

are warm and welcoming. My wife and I get our appointments back to back so one of us can watch our young daughter while the other is in the chair. Our daughter enjoys going too -- we've brought here since the time she was a baby. (Note: Dr. Vence isn't a pediatrics dentist). All the staff play with her and she enjoys the treasure box filled with stickers and little toys.

I have often told people the best way to find a good dentist is “ask a dental technician”. Having worked in the dental industry as a dental technician for 30+ years in three different states and two countries, I have had a chance to visit many dental offices, and see many dentist’s work. Do not judge them by the beauty of their office. They’re all beautiful. Their work will be what distinguishes them. Having worked with Brian, I can say he is one of the best dentists I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with. Everything from planning, preparations, instructions, photography and follow up were above reproach. It is an absolute pleasure from a technician’s perspective. Brian exhibits a thirst for knowledge and a skill to apply it that is very rare, and the results show in the successful cases he presents to his peers on an international level.

I’ve come to realize however, that there is another factor that distinguishes a great dentist aside from his manual dexterity and training. Attitude and personality. This is another factor many patients will not see, as the dentist will always present a great “chairside manner” to them. Who he is outside of the operatory however, can be another matter all together, where there can often be a completely different person to deal with. Not so with Brian. He is easygoing, down to earth, easily entreated and patient. His demeanor has always made work with him a pleasure, even on challenging cases. He also is quick to acknowledge the others that have supported him in the process, including the (often neglected) dental technician. I found myself recently needing to have some dental work done myself.

Having many options in front of me, my choice without hesitation was Dr Vence, even though I live 3. 5h away. Knowing what I have just expressed above, along with the excellent likeminded care I received from all his staff, it was an easy decision and well worth the drive. Brian surrounds himself with people who also exhibit skill and knowledge and are attentive and compassionate, making my visit a pleasure, and I call them my friends. Hopefully you won’t have as far to travel to his office as I do, but in any case you will receive top quality dental care from him and his staff and likely agree that this is one of the best practices you will find yourself in. Maybe you’ll even make some new friends.

Dr. Vence is one of the best dentist in Chicago, from what I've been told by many other dentist. I've been seeing him 10 years when he used to be in West Dundee and moved to Oakbrook Terrace. Dr. Vence is very connected to the right experts around the country, and often attends national dental meetings(he's mentioned and there are articles in the waiting room on the same). I've been told by other dental specialists that have looked at my teeth, that the work he does is exceptional. Dr.

Vence has even gone the extra mile to help with a crown unplanned on the weekend. The office is very clean and the staff is warm and welcoming. They have the latest technology too, to help diagnose and treat issues that arise. I recently met Dr. Griseto and he's excellent and equally dedicated. It's nice to have 2 dentists that can cover for one another.
