I received my braces" class="text-blue-600 hover:underline font-medium">Adult Braces through the College of Dentistry and had such a good experience that my daughter wen to them with her severe cross bite and now we are back again for my daughter and son at the University of Iowa Orthodontics to help straighten their teeth. We have worked with several different Dentists in Orthodontics due to our different needs for our teeth and all have been wonderful.
I highly recommend getting your braces done at the University of Iowa

Dr. Southard and his team are some of the nicest and most caring people I have ever met. I started my treatment with them in sixth grade, and through each step in the process—from headgear to rubber bands—they made sure to reassure me and explain what was happening at each session.
Their banter, jokes, and interactions with each other led me to look forward to each visit instead of dreading going to the orthodontist. As I head into my freshman year of college, I can confidently say I am so glad that I was able to have them take care of my teeth, and now I have the perfect smile!

I cannot express enough thanks to the University of Iowa Orthodontic Clinic. I was a middle-aged patient and my treatment was challenging due to my alignment issues and my age. Dr. Southard and his team did a great job on me and I am very satisfied with the outcome.
Now I can smile confidently because of them. Their expertise, professionalism, patience, and kindness made a great difference and I truly enjoyed my journey with them in my 4- Year treatment. They made my every visit joyful and worthwhile. Big thumbs up, University of Iowa Orthodontic Clinic!

It’s not easy being in my 20s and getting orthodontic treatment. I had to get an impacted canine fixed and I thought treatment was going to cost over 10k and it only costed me around 7000 including oral surgery. I was always treated well and when I was late the staff was understanding because I was driving from Pella or Des Moines. The Hygienists were amazing, the orthodontists were excellent and the business office and receptionist handled all of my problems really well.
I am so blessed to find amazing treatment and at a solid rate. Also communication between different departments was top notch. Thank you so much!
