Tiffin Community Health Center is a lifeline for our family. As someone without great insurance, their sliding-scale fees made dental care accessible when we thought we couldn’t afford it. The office is clean and welcoming, with a staff that treats everyone with kindness—no judgment, just care. Dr. Reed was patient with my nervous 10-year-old, explaining each step of her cleaning in simple terms.

When I needed a filling, they worked with me to set up a payment plan that fit my budget. The hygienists are thorough, and they even offer free fluoride treatments for kids. It’s more than a clinic—it’s a place that truly serves the community, making health a priority for everyone, regardless of means.

I have called multiple times back to back for weeks and weeks at this rate to get an appointment with the dental team, left so many voicemails and have had no call back. Finally called the pharmacy and got through to someone, who took my information and gave to someone on the dental team, only to be called back and transferred to the voicemail AGAIN. I’ve been experiencing severe discomfort from a cavity and wanted it fixed before my wedding this weekend.

And yet here we are. At this rate how do you guys even stay open? Like who are you helping? What a joke.

I called to setup my appt and explained why I needed to be seen. Then when I get to my appt one person takes me to the room, asks why I’m there, and I tell her. Another walks in and asks why I’m there. Then another person walks in to ask and then finally the nurse practitioner.

There was one very concerning reason as to why I was there and none of them passed that along only the one or two minor reasons I listed. So they clearly don’t communicate and they like to waste time. The NP also prescribed my husband two medications that CANNOT be taken together and he almost had to go to the ER.

I have monthly appts here right now. & the NP & most of her team that I’ve seen or see have always been nice to me. But I think all health care you are a number anymore. The appts are usually a bit long. But I have gotten over that.

My own and biggest issue is that when I am truly sick: fever, chills, coughing mucus up, Etc. Trying to reach them to schedule is impossible. & if I do end up reaching someone to schedule they always tell me they have nothing available for sometimes over a week. Which when I’m sick and have been for days & may need an antibiotic I’m always focused to see the stupid urgent care or go to ER. It just seems crazy to me that I can’t schedule to see my physician when I’m sick.

Especially when it doesn’t fall on my monthly check up appointments. My best bet Would to be scheduling an appointment for Once every week that way when I get sick, I could see a doctor. But nope have to suffer instead. if I have to go to urgent care or ER, I don’t know why they’re considered my primary.
