Statesboro Pediatric dentistry is a specialized dental clinic located at 613 E Grady St, Statesboro, GA. The practice is dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality dental care for children, from infancy through adolescence, and also caters to individuals with special needs. The clinic is co-led by two board-certified pediatric dentists, Dr. Anjali Patel (also known as Dr. A) and Dr. John L. Wasdin. The practice was originally established by Dr. Patel in 2019, and Dr. Wasdin, who previously had his own practice, merged with her in 2023. The clinic is designed to be a welcoming and fun environment for its young patients, featuring a jungle-themed office that aims to turn a dental visit into a positive adventure. The team focuses on creating an atmosphere that is not only professional but also warm and friendly, helping to alleviate any fear or anxiety children may have about visiting the dentist. Services offered at Statesboro Pediatric Dentistry are comprehensive and include preventative care such as exams, cleanings, digital x-rays, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants. For restorative needs, they provide tooth-colored and silver fillings, stainless steel crowns, extractions, and pulpotomy. Recognizing that some children may experience dental anxiety, the clinic also offers various sedation and anesthesia options to ensure a safe and comfortable experience. The clinic emphasizes open and honest communication with both patients and their families to build trust and ensure the best possible care.

Was calling to see up a new patient appointment and was abruptly told on an initial phone call that they are not accepting any patients over 8 years old. When did pediatric care stop at 8 years old?

So I am not sure when pedatric patients all of the sudden became anyone over 8 years old, but here we are. We are fairly new to area and called to get my kids a cleaning. I was told they are “to old” and only take new patients under 8. I have a 10 and 11 year old.

So anyone new to the area looking for dental care with a kid over 8 we are just out of luck and now they must go to an adult dentist? Stupidest thing I have ever heard. This area is seriously in the dark ages. 🙄

Both of my boys have been with Dr. Wasdin since of age. We have always been 100% happy. My boys actually request to go to the dentist because they love the staff And the atmosphere

This was our first visit to a pediatric dentist. The entire staff was amazing! They made both mom and baby feel comfortable and calm! The office is adorable and they have different rooms for different stages of growth!
