Avoid this dentist. They have a tiered cleaning scheme which I've never been subjected to before--a cleaning is a cleaning. They charge you $400 to examine your teeth (takes all 90 min) and then try to claim that the $160 cleaning (total $560) isn't enough and you need an additional $400 cleaning, which they don't have time to perform, so you have to set up a second visit. So $800 for a teeth cleaning. They have different financial people who come in and explain the cost breakdown like a used car salesman.

. . I get it, you're trying to get more money. Super disappointing because I was excited to support a local business and have a dentist I could bring my family to who was holistic and honest.

Everyone is so kind and caring, I love Dr. Duncan, and I love the individual attention and care for my health. I also love that they don’t use horrid air fresheners, plug ins and strongly scented cleaning products in the office. A lot of people have allergies and sensitivities and that stuff is toxic and wouldn’t fit in a holistic practice. Conventional practices should do the same.

My husband went here for a cleaning and evaluation of a tooth that was bothering him. He said the cleaning was great and had no issues. I had also scheduled myself for a cleaning, filled out all the online paperwork and received confirmation texts but when I called the office to ask a question I was told I didn’t have an appointment in their system. All they could chalk it up to was that they got a new computer system but apparently I was the only person this had happened to. Mind you, I had scheduled mine and my husband’s appointments the exact same way at the same time.

I then received a text message thanking me for my visit, that supposedly was not in their system. We paid out of pocket for my husband’s cleaning and they told him they would file it with insurance for us. It was filled improperly and it was an exhausting battle going back and forth with the office staff and the insurance company. The lady at the front desk was not helpful and did not seem to care that we had had so many issues. My husband scheduled his next cleaning for 6 months later, in the office, before he left.

I called this week to cancel it and the secretary tells me there is nothing scheduled in their system. She never offered to work him in, reschedule or do anything to make it right. Overall, the care seemed fine but the logistical process of dealing with the office staff made it not worth the hassle. The lack of empathy from the secretary and never offering to make things right (if it truly was the new computer system) was enough for us to leave the practice and find somewhere else.

Came in for the first time pretty scared, because my tooth was hurting badly and I hadn’t even had one single cavity before. The entire team was great! I love Dr. Kaye, even though we determined that I would leave minus one tooth. She did great work. Front desk was exceptional with being helpful and Casey, the dental assistant made everything a little bit easier and funnier.
