We just left my son's cleaning appointment and both my son and I are in tears from the way we were treated. The doctor got upset with my son halfway through the cleaning and refused to continue. My 10 year old son said he was scared. He wasn't talking back or being rude and the doctor was calling him oppositional. He was having a hard time following the doctor's instructions with keeping his tongue down because of being scared. All this happened in his open office in front of other patients.
He basically told us to go to another dental office. We came here because he was supposed to have a reputation of handling scared and more difficult children. In the beginning, he was great with my son. The doctor lost his patience. Unless you have perfect child I wouldn't recommend going here.

We recently moved to Newark and I was looking for a pediatric dentist for my 3 children. This office is a provider with my insurance and I decided to try them out. I couldn’t be happier with my choice! Doctors and office staff are fantastic! Dr. Eric is great with children - attentive, patient, gentle, and informative.
The office is kid friendly and fun. Every room is equipped with TV; every wall is kid theme painted. My kids love the routine of getting things from the Treasure Chest too. They are happy to come to that office and I am happy with the service! :)

Took my 5-yr-old son to Silly Smiles to deal with a couple of cavities. Dr. Eric and the team there are the best. Definitely the right group of ppl to work with children. Extremely patient and super engaging with the little ones. Highly recommend Silly Smiles for any family looking for a pediatric dentist!

Dr. Eric Copes has been a fantastic dentist to our children. He takes his time with each child and is very gentle and thorough. My kids love getting to pick a present out of the treasure chest at the end of each visit. The front desk staff and hygienists have always been very friendly and competent.
