Dentist in New York, NY
I have dealt with impacted wisdom teeth for a long time. . . . thought they were giving my son good service so I decided to try them out. Worst cleaning ever. I have cavities that were not acknowledged and have been in their care for about 2 months with no pain relief. I have specifically said the 800 MG ibuprofen does not work, I've been told it does.
And have been prescribed amoxocillin AGAIN. My son has been told he needs surgery . . . . supposedly had 3 cavities filled but has had 2nd opinions and told he does not need surgery but has at least 6 more cavities. Also my insurance has told me personally they do not know basic codes for referrals, procedures etc. Damn shame low income health and dental care is like this

Terrible. Stay away. I should have read the reviews before going. Was nearly a two hour wait in a freezing cold office in the dead of winter, no heat. Told me I needed 2 root canals and l think 6 crowns, even though nothing in mouth hurt.
Never even saw a dentist! Only the hygienist. Then proceeded to keep calling me to book the work. I eventually went back because I couldn’t find another dentist in my network and after waiting an hour I decided to look up the reviews in the waiting area to see if this was just me. then proceeded to get up and leave.

My last review is below. I had a couple of really bad experiences in 2014, but I went back around 2019 and they were great. The staff was kind. The wait was never long. The dentist was kind and the hygenist more than qualified. She should win hygenist of the year. So, since 2014, this place got much better. This is a horrible place.
I went there and the waiting room was super crowded. The staff took forever to even talk to me. They did however spend a great deal of time ordering out food, eating it and complaining about the service of the food (Heaven forbid, bad service!). I waited an hour and a half to see the dentist and when I asked them when I would be seen the staff was increadiably rude to me. I left. Never even saw the dentist. DO NOT GO HERE.

I am writing to share my feedback regarding our recent visit to S. P. Dental for my mother's appointment at 10:00 AM. This was our second visit, and I would like to address some observations, particularly concerning the front desk reception area and the behavior of the young woman working that morning.
I noticed that she engaged in conversations about patients right in front of them, speaking in both English and Spanish. This created an uncomfortable feeling of division among patients. There also seemed to be a reluctance to assist with inquiries, which left me concerned about how any requests would be received. I was able to speak privately with YELENA the manager she was warm and kind and validated my experience.
What i am truly baffled by is the reviews i WISH i would have read them first i would have NEVER scheduled my aged mother an appointment there. The front desk sets the tone for the office this reception area was brash and unprofessional they carry on in conversations as if they were home as opposed to being at work. This reception area is open to the patients there are no barriers to block sounds because of this (there should be) more of a care and awareness as to what is said and how it i said. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTAL OFFICE !!
