I have not met Dr. Cha or Dr. Jiang or any other doctors at this office. I was surprised to findout from the many papers they asked me to sign that this office charges a consulting fee of $150. I should have been notified of the fee over the phone when they made an appointment.
The referral dentist should be informed by Dr. Cha's office. Not all endodontist slide in a $150 bill on the day you need help.

I saw Dr Jiang in the New Haven office and she was nice enough. The problem was not with her but one of her ill-tempered assistants who made my experience rather unpleasant. I went in to assess if a root canal was needed for a possible fractured tooth, and was extremely nervous because I've never needed this kind of dental work. The dental assistant was rude from the moment she let my husband and I in to the office, not saying hello and stomping away without saying anything but "no ones here yet" and disappearing. The real deal breaker was when she PUSHED my head down THREE times into the back of the exam chair instead of kindly communicating to put my head back.
She was not gentle and extremely rude. After receiving unpleasant news I started tearing up and Dr Jiang kindly asked if I wanted my husband to come in. I was too choked up to answer when her assistant said "what's his name?" So she could get him. Instead of giving me a minute to calm down, she YELLED her question at me, making me break down more. To make matters worse once my husband and I were left in the room to discuss our options and I was trying to calm down, she came in and very curtly told us to leave to make room for the next patient.
How about a simple "are you okay?" Terrible experience, awful bedside manner. Though dr Jiang was fine, I refuse to go back simply because this woman scared and disrespected me.

My first visit with Dr Jiang she is the best Endodonic I have ever been too. She was so nice and gentle she made me feel so relaxed and the staff was wonderful. They all made me feel so comfortable If I ever have to have another root canal done Dr Jiang will be the one I will be going back too.I highly recommend Dr Jiang
