Raleigh Children’s Surgery Center is a lifesaver for parents facing their child’s dental surgery. My 5-year-old needed multiple fillings, and I was a wreck—until we met Dr. Carter and his team. They walked us through every detail, used kid-friendly terms ("we’ll give you a special sleep to fix your teeth"), and let her pick a favorite stuffed animal to keep with her. The waiting area has calming music and books, which helped ease my nerves.

The surgery went smoothly, and the nurses checked in with us hourly afterward. They even sent a follow-up card with a sticker for her a few days later. Knowing my child was in such caring, skilled hands made all the difference. This place turns a scary situation into a manageable one—thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional care my children received at the Raleigh Children’s Surgery Center for their wisdom teeth removal. Dr. Benson is truly the best oral and facial surgeon, and the entire team made the experience seamless and stress-free. The dream team of pediatric dentists, Dr. Johnson and Dr.

Morris, ensured that my children's procedure was handled with the utmost expertise and compassion. I felt completely at ease knowing that Dr. Papadakos, the anesthesiologist, was in charge of putting my children to sleep; her professionalism and care were truly reassuring. Every step of the process was straightforward, thanks to the thorough communication from the staff. Special shoutout to Kristin, the RN, who was our favorite nurse! Her kindness and attentiveness made a world of difference during a potentially anxious time.

Lastly, Darleen at the front desk was the sweetest person we encountered. Her warm demeanor provided an immediate sense of peace and comfort as we entered the clinic. Overall, I highly recommend the Raleigh Children’s Surgery Center for any pediatric dental needs. The level of care and professionalism is unmatched!

Update - After posting this review the admin team came out to the lobby and spoke with me and my wife was very upset but professional about expressing her concerns. In the end it took us 10hours in the waiting room for a 6:30 am appointment! Our dentist referred us to RCSC, as we live 2. 5 hours away.

We called and confirmed the appointment and same day surgery to remove an extra tooth for 6:30 am. While discussing the reason we are here today, They tried to up sale what all needed to be done today and we declined the extra work that they insisted on doing. Since then, We have been in the waiting room for over 6 hours waiting to have an extra tooth removed.

When we asked how much long, they told us that we had to be “worked in the schedule” but we had an appointment! This place is a joke, the communication, the unprofessional of the receptionist (both) and our overall experience! They should have never scheduled us for a 6:30 am appointment and then have us sit in the waiting room all day just to be “worked in the schedule”.

My two children had their wisdom teeth removed here. I have to say that I was worried about wait time (we had surgery scheduled 10am, we got there around 9:30am, but went in after 11am) however the doctors and nurses were absolutely wonderful before and after surgery. When we scheduled appointment we were given instructions for my children not to eat nor drink after 8pm . . . etc. We followed all the instructions. The receptionist was very helpful with all the paperwork (there are tons of paperwork to fill out). The waiting room was crowded. The surgery went well.

Dr Benson did the surgery and anesthesia was performed by another doctor (I can't remember her name). All the procedures were explained well. We were given clear instructions of what to do afterwards (gauze, medications. . . ). The nurse called us day after surgery and doctor Benson called us few days after. As of now my children are still recovering from the surgery but our experience was really good. Thank you!
