Quick and easy to get an appointment, but beware if you're relying on insurance. They say our insurance in-network but couldn’t verify at the moment and charged me $75 upfront. I declined further tooth extractions until insurance cleared, but never heard back from the dental office as promised and later got another bill for nearly $300.

Just for consultation there wasn’t any treatment done. Seems fine if you're paying out of pocket, but not great if you depend on insurance.

Dr. B is hands down the most genuine and caring dentist I’ve ever had. He truly goes above and beyond for his patients, which is so rare to find these days. Every visit is an amazing experience—he takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure you feel comfortable every step of the way. You can really tell he cares about what he does and the people he treats. Highly recommend!

I was a patient here for 4 years starting in 2021. Private pay, implants and crowns, a total of around $30,000. I paid for the big ticket items upfront and Michael Nguyen thanked me for that on multiple occasions. But after my last cleaning & exam in February, I won’t be returning. The day before the 2 PM appointment, I got a call asking me to come in an hour earlier. I did and I sat in the waiting room until 1:30. What was supposed to be an hour was cut in half. (The hygienist said they had booked another patient at 2 PM. ) Over time, their usual charge for a cleaning & exam was $180 but the new bill was a surprise at $354 (without x-rays). I told the new woman on the front desk: “I get the 20% senior citizen discount.

” She said: “Yes, of course,” whipped out her calculator, and bumped it down to $283. 20 - still a significant increase, but by then, I just wanted to get out of there. The whole experience, from the moment I walked through the door, had been so weirdly different and unsettling, and I had just been there about 6 weeks earlier. On Good Friday, I got a surprise bill in email from Dental365. Yep, they billed me for the 20% she deducted - $70. 80. (My neighbor also got a surprise bill when his understanding was that he was paid in full nearly a year ago. ) What’s going on: Through a Google search, I learned that Queensboro had been acquired by Dental365, a DSO (dental service organization), which is owned by The Jordan Company, a private equity firm. I found Dental365’s press release dated May 15, 2024, but nothing was said to me as a patient about the change in ownership or a new fee schedule. I had to piece it together for myself - why the front desk people were new, why much of the old staff was gone.

There’s still nothing on the Queensboro site about Dental365, but billing is now “Dental365 LIC. ” I'm just glad the billing surprise was a cleaning & exam and not a crown or an implant. I haven’t decided whether I’ll pay that $70. 80 just to get rid of them or whether I’ll fight it on principle. I’ve yet to determine if there are any options for filing official complaints. But I am FURIOUS with Nguyen. I have a new dentist who did a thorough exam with full mouth X-rays, and he found 2 serious problems that Nguyen and his hygienist missed with their quickies. It will be another big ticket job and it will be done by my new dentist in private practice. On the DSO trend, he says he gets constant offers, but “we’re conscientious objectors. ”

I was in the new office space in LIC, Very clean and spacious. Jacqueline is always on the ball, very nice, attentive and cares about her job and patients. Knowing Jacqueline is at the office is a big plus for me. I met for the first time Jessica the hygienist, very nice as well. Jessica explained everything to me in detail, cares about her job and patients.

I felt comfortable with Jessica and I’m glad she in on this team. Dr Dan has been nothing but awesome, never felt uncomfortable always caring about what’s happening with you. Very knowledgeable and in depth tells you what you need to do. I’m glad that this is the place that will help me have healthier teeth.
