My uncle went to this clinic for a dental cleaning and was turned away due to a language barrier. Despite me offering to be available by phone for any questions or clarifications, they insisted he must be accompanied by an in-person translator. Ironically, the staff member who called me had a heavy accent and struggled with English herself.

This experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

I’ve had my 1st appointment here at Pura Dental Office in Jamaica back in February 2024. Since then I’ve been returning for my 6 months check up faithfully with no long wait time at all. My most recent visit for my 6 months check-up was yesterday morning 3/27/2025 and everything went well as usual thanks to Pura Dental Office in Jamaica, Queens , the receptionist, technician, assistant & Dr.

Nath are the best , they are all so caring, kind , professional and knowledgeable . The office is always well kept, clean, smells good , they sanitizes the areas after each patient visit, I love how all of the dental equipment they use is in its own sterilized packaging for the patient safety and health, after each dental visit I leave here very satisfied with no complications or complaints 😊👍🏾

The place is clean. The staff are courteous and the doctor was thorough. I was in and out within 35 minutes. I had three cavities and a cleaning done in 35 minutes. How awesome is that.

I scheduled a deep cleaning appointment for my mom over the phone a few weeks ago. When we arrived, the receptionist claimed there was no record of the appointment. After realizing the mistake, she offered to fit us in but only after a 2 hour wait. Once my mom was finally seen, the doctor informed us that her insurance had approved a deep cleaning for 3/4 quadrants.

He planned to work on 2/3 on this appointment, requiring her to return for the remaining quadrant. He numbed her mouth, which took about 45 seconds to a minute, then stepped out for a few minutes before returning to begin the procedure. Shockingly, the entire deep cleaning lasted only about 4 minutes and 30 far shorter than the typical 30 to 45 minutes I’ve experienced elsewhere. It is outrageous that he is charging insurance for a high cost procedure while not even performing a proper routine cleaning.

I will never return to this office and strongly advise others to avoid it. This doctor seems more focused on insurance payouts than patient care. Do not assume that sharing a Bengali background will result in better treatment you will not receive the service you are being charged for.
