S. Extraction was painless, bone graft placement completed. Excellent attention to detail during and after procedure. I was well prepared by this team. So far, recovering nicely. It's been 6 months since my gum graft procedure and I am still regretful of getting this done with Dr. Suzuki. It was my first time having a poor dental experience and I hope it will be my last, given I will not be coming back here for any future dental work. Dr. Suzuki did not listen to me when I was in the chair after I told him to hold off on the anesthetic injection due to the pain. He instead proceeded to inject it immediately and did not give me a break despite me asking. He later said he "did not hear me". He also accidentally chipped my lower front tooth and insisted that he did not, despite the fact that I have photos of my teeth before and after the surgery.

Also, his office never followed up with me on scheduling a post-op visit. After waiting for a call for a few weeks, I ended up calling them and they were nice enough to double book me with another patient that same week. In the now-delayed post-op visit, he offered to fix my chipped tooth for free, which would have been nice of him if he hadn't done a sloppy job in doing so. There was so much excess bonding, even after he tried shaving it down. When I pointed out the excess bonding that was left even after shaving it, he said that it was "already there" and that he "did not add that", which was false. I still don't understand how a trained periodontist cannot bond and shave teeth appropriately--perhaps he was rushing because my visit was scheduled at the same time as another patient. I ended up scheduling an appointment to see my regular dentist and had her shave down the rest of the excess bonding that Dr. Suzuki left.

Kindly, she also didn't charge me given my expression of my poor experience. I understand his office may take this comment down, but please know I am being truthful and have already communicated my frustrations to Dr. Suzuki in our post-op visit, to which he apologized, but I still feel the need to write this post 6 months later because I am still so irked and baffled at my experience at this office. I know Dr. Suzuki is a nice man, but I cannot ignore the incredibly poor experience I had because of him and his office. It sounds like others have had good experiences here, but I still need to share mine. Shout out to the one male dental assistant who was really kind to me!
