PRASAD Children's Dental Health Program

PRASAD Children's Dental Health Program is a New York State Department of Health Article 28 certified clinic and school-based health center. Its core mission is to improve the quality of life for children by providing comprehensive dental services and health education. The program is an initiative of The PRASAD Project, a not-for-profit organization with a global reach. The clinic's primary mode of operation is a state-of-the-art mobile dental clinic that visits public schools in Sullivan County on a rotating basis. This unique approach makes dental care accessible and convenient for children and families who may face barriers like transportation issues or financial constraints. The mobile clinic is fully equipped with two dental offices, allowing for a wide range of services to be provided directly on-site. These services include dental exams, cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings, extractions, and space maintainers. The program serves children ages six months through 18 years of age. It accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicaid, Delta Dental, Fidelis, and MVP. For uninsured children, a sliding fee scale is available to ensure that all eligible children can receive the care they need. Beyond the mobile clinic, the program's main office in Liberty, New York, also provides dental services, particularly during school holidays and the summer. In addition to providing treatment, PRASAD Children's Dental Health Program is committed to oral health education, offering in-classroom programs to teach children and parents about healthy habits that can last a lifetime.
