My daughter had her very first appointment at this office and we had an amazing experience. I’ve heard nothing but good things and experiences from many of their patients even to this day. I was one of those people myself until this happened to us and I just hope nobody else has to experience this and you continue to have positive experiences here. After her first apot the office was closed for some time due to the structure of the building. We went to a different practice for a few years and then ultimately decided to come back. She had a cavity and we were scheduled for 3 months out from when it was found- they had nothing sooner. I was told to call if there were any issues such as swelling/infection/pain. This did happen (she woke up with the whole side of her face swollen) and it was a Sunday. I called but they did not have any on call line or atleast that day they did not. So we had to go to express care where she was given an antibiotic. Was still not able to get her appointment moved up.
A few days before her scheduled appointment, I got a text that her appointment was canceled and they would be in touch to reschedule. A few days went by and no call- so I called them and was told she couldn’t be rescheduled for another month. At this point I felt it was completely unacceptable. After expressing that I was offered an appointment at the squirrel hill location which I took despite the inconvenience. When we got to the appointment it was found that she had 2 abscessed teeth (one being a molar) and they had to pull them. I want to add my daughter had previous fillings filled prior to this and even some without Novocain and did perfectly fine not a single tear but due to the pain that these abcesses has caused from waiting over 3 months she was extremely scared and guarded of her mouth. When Dr Aaron came in to numb her she was hesitant to open her mouth and he was getting very frustrated with her. He failed to take the time to explain anything to her which only caused her more anxiety over what was happening. As he was trying to pry her mouth open she was saying “wait” while also trying to keep her teeth closed cause she wasn’t ready which he interpreted as her spitting at him. He got frustrated many times and kept yelling and leaving the room. It got to the point where he was ready to not treat her.
we were both in tears from the shock of the experience and the thought of her being on antibiotics another time for this abscessed tooth and sending her to childrens where they have a several month wait list was not okay to me. when my daughter saw me so upset she tried her best to calm down and he was able to pull the teeth. The absolute shock I was in from the bedside manner and way my child was treated was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I am a nurse and I worked many years in pediatrics so I absolutely understand the struggle and possible dangers dealing with pediatric patients and their fears but if you cannot handle that In a dignified and respectful way maybe adult dentistry is more appropriate. This happened a few years ago but I really feel like I am doing a disservice not putting our experience out there especially after seeing some of the other similar experiences I am seeing in the reviews. The only thing different in my experience compared to some of the other poor reviews is that the other staff were lovely- the dental assistant even hugged me and apologize during one of the dentist’s tantrums out of the room. We are now seen at another pediatric dentist in the area and they have gone above and beyond the past year or so to “rehab” her into trusting the dentist again. I’m thankful for that because she is no longer TERRIFIED to go to the dentist. I encourage this dentist/owner to not become defensive over this review and self reflect on how treating a patient a certain way can absolutely inflict trauma for something as important as Dental Care considering we typically need to see a dentist twice a year for life.

The staff is very accommodating and engaging with the kids - they really go out of the way to make everyone feel comfortable. This seems to be one of few places these days that actually has enough staff to efficiently run. I'm usually in and out with 4 kids in about 30min. Dr.
Aaron is fantastic with the kids and very thorough with explaining any issues. My kids love him and get jealous if they find out a sibling got an "extra" visit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Both locations are great ! The Dentist is amazing, as is the rest of the staff . Squirrel hill location has parking challenges, but otherwise 10/10. We drive from the South Hills & won’t change until we need to !
