Peninsula Community health Services (PCHS) is a cornerstone of community healthcare in Kitsap, Mason, and rural Pierce Counties in Western Washington. Established in 1987 as a community clinic in Bremerton and becoming a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in 1995, PCHS is committed to eliminating healthcare disparities by providing high-quality, accessible, and affordable health and wellness services. Their mission is to "see and value every person," ensuring that care is available to all, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, offering a sliding fee discount program for eligible patients. PCHS operates multiple clinic locations, including the Belfair Clinic at 31 NE State Route 300, Suite 200, Belfair, WA 98528. This integrated clinic offers a wide range of services under one roof, including comprehensive medical care (physical examinations, immunizations, family planning, chronic disease management, minor procedures, newborn and well-child care), dental services (preventive care, oral examinations, restorative treatment, emergency care, specialized infant and child dental care), behavioral health counseling (depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorder treatment including Medication-Assisted Treatment like Suboxone), and on-site pharmacy services. They also provide health education and promotion activities, nutrition assistance, and support services to connect patients with community resources like housing and employment. PCHS emphasizes a patient-centered, integrated care approach, where medical, dental, and behavioral health providers collaborate to create comprehensive treatment plans. They offer telehealth options and have a fleet of mobile clinics and school-based health centers to reach vulnerable and isolated populations, including those experiencing homelessness.
