As a prior dental hygienist of 19 years and a successful sales business owner, I was surprised to receive an email from Dr Linty canceling my October 22nd appointment that was only made a week ago. I had never even been in their dental office nor met anyone in the office. The email stated “At this time, it has become clear that our practice’s philosophies do not align with your expectations, and as a result, we believe it is in your best interest to seek care from another provider who may better suit your needs. As such, we will not be scheduling any future appointments. ” The real truth is Amber; the front desk coordinator didn’t like that I challenged her. She was obviously intimidated by my knowledge and questions. I have a tooth that is causing me an issue and I got a PA and limited exam at another office, as I wasn’t sure I could wait 1 month to see Dr.
L. I ask if I brought any x rays from a prior office, would they use them and charge me as it takes away money for my insurance maximum per year, and the answer was “yes we will use them” but we will retake our own and charge you 275. 00 for 1 PA which is a single area x ray and 1 limited exam, which is a single look at one area. “Or we will charge you 525. 00 for a full set of x rays and a 2 hour consultation” I was fine with keeping my appointment on the 22nd for 525. 00, but it appears if you question Amber then she automatically refunds the booking deposit of 50. 00, then talks to Dr L, and informs a one sided story.
After reviewing more information and digging a little deeper and actually talking to other dental colleagues, I see and agree that this practice is 100% money driven and not truly in it for the health of their patients. As Dr Linty knows, healing is obtained on many levels and starts at the gateway of the mouth and affects one mentally, emotionally and physically. Maybe this office should practice their “philosophy” and cater to those who are truly in need. I have seen one other biological dentist and the experience was heartwarming, caring and they accepted other x rays and didn’t get offended if you challenged them. They are not local, which is why I was hoping to see Dr Linty, It however seems Amber runs this office and not the doctor!

48 hour cancellation policy, $50 charge if you don’t give them 48 hours notice and you WILL charge your account. The front office refuses to let me speak to a manager. I am completely appalled with Amber and how she is the face of this office. She was very rude and condescending. I hope the office listens to the conversation we had as she said it was being recorded. Zero stars for her.
