About

The Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Cypress Creek Dental Center is a dental clinic operated by the NSU College of Dental Medicine. It serves as a teaching facility where dental students and residents provide comprehensive and specialized dental care to the public under the direct supervision of licensed and experienced faculty dentists. The clinic offers a wide range of services, often at a reduced cost compared to private practices.
The Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Cypress Creek Dental Center is one of several clinics that are part of the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine (NSU CDM). The NSU CDM is a private dental school established in 1997, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The college's primary mission is to train the next generation of dental professionals, and its clinics serve a dual purpose: providing valuable hands-on clinical experience for students and residents, and offering dental care to the community. The Cypress Creek location is a student clinic, meaning that patients are treated by dental students and residents who are closely supervised by licensed faculty members. This model allows the clinic to offer high-quality dental services at a more affordable rate than traditional private practices. The clinic aims to provide a professional atmosphere and a comprehensive approach to patient care, from diagnosis and treatment planning to a full range of restorative and preventive services. Patients can expect longer appointment times due to the educational nature of the clinic, as students meticulously perform procedures under direct faculty guidance. The types of services available at the Cypress Creek Dental Center and other NSU clinics include general dentistry and various specialty care for adults, adolescents, and children. Specific services may include preventive care (cleanings, exams), restorative treatments (fillings, crowns), endodontics (root canals), periodontics (gum disease treatment), prosthodontics (dentures, bridges, implants), orthodontics (braces), and oral and maxillofacial surgery. As with any teaching facility, not all services are offered at every location, and patients may be referred to other NSU clinics for specific specialty needs. The diverse patient population in South Florida provides students with extensive and varied clinical experiences, preparing them to handle a wide range of cases. The NSU CDM is part of a larger Health Professions Division at the university, fostering an interdisciplinary approach to patient care and education.

The second one (31) broken due a bad tooth filing, open for many days get infected. Due covid-19 no appointments available there I went to another dentist to evaluation and was too late the tooth 31 had to be extracted.

Nova College of Dentistry was somewhat confusing to locate. The building looks like a very large lobby in the front, while the dentistry is on the 2nd floor. Staff is pleasant to work with and the facility is clean. However you will be waiting a long time to get an appointment.
