What a great experience! My granddaughter was so fearful about going to the dentist and Dr. Shamim made her feel so comfortable. He is patient and kind and all the staff are amazing as well. Highly recommend this practice!

If you have special needs kids I wouldn’t recommend this practice. They weren’t able to do a cleaning or x-rays on my daughter and the work would have to be done under general anesthesia in a hospital. Understandable considering she isn’t too cooperative. However they never scheduled that appointment for her and she was in a lot of pain and up most of the night from it. We went to sprout dental as sort of second opinion and hoping to relieve the pain for her. They were able to do a cleaning and x rays on her they were much more patient and had a better approach. They also had her back in 2 weeks to be sedated in the office and all her dental work completed.

Also the receptionist is nice as long as everything goes as planned, not so nice or understanding otherwise. There was an issue with our insurance where it lapsed, not due to us but a clerical error which happened to be when we saw the dentist. She called me saying the claims were denied and at the time of that phone call the insurance had already been re activated and anything denied during that lapse could be re submitted and would be covered as I was instructed to tell providers from UMR. So I explained that to her and told her to re submit the claim and it would be covered. She then calls me again a couple weeks later with attitude and insinuating I was lying about the insurance saying “ What’s really going on here, her insurance is not active and the claim was denied again. So what is her insurance because it’s not UMR. ” I then again try to explain the same thing I already explained to her and she just kept cutting me off & dismissing what I was saying.

She told me to call UMR if that was my daughter’s primary insurance. So I call them and they reiterated what I already knew- her insurance is Active, as I had stated, and her claim was processing not denied. After doing her job and making a simple call to the insurance company instead of interrogating the patient who does not work for UMR, I called her back and let her know it was processing and her coverage was active. STILL met with rudeness and a condescending undertone. She replied “ uh huh it was denied twice and now it’s processing interesting. ” Well it is processing and you will get paid well within the time frame for an appointment that accomplished absolutely nothing I might add.

We did just start going here but the Dentist is so nice and caring for the children. He asks the entire time if there okay and explains in a way they understand what he's doing. The receptionist is also very nice and it's nice when you walk in only your second or third time and she knows your child's name. I wish I found this place sooner.

Other places that I been too were not so clean and friendly. I highly recommend Noor A Shamim.

My 6 year old needed quite a bit of dental work. The Dr and staff are polite and good with children. They are great about fitting patients in and we have never had a problem getting a reasonable appointment.

Dr Shamim's work has been excellent so far and I am definitely happy with the results. My daughter, despite having teeth pulled on more than one occasion, is never afraid to go to her appointments which is a pretty big relief.
