You responded to my message saying “As per your insurance, the procedure you are referring to is not a covered benefit. We are well educated and take pride in not only providing the best care for our patients but also in handling insurance correctly. You said earlier that copays were suspicious. Please verify with your insurance. It is inaccurate to say that you were charged to fix a filling. No charges were incurred for that.

Only after 3 attempts of sending bills is someone sent to collections. ” ——— This response just proves that you don’t fully understand what you’re talking about. I didn’t pull this information out of thin air—my insurance told me directly that Nexus Dental did not follow the correct guidelines. What’s even more frustrating is that when I was at the front desk and asked why I was being charged over $300, I was told, “Your insurance doesn’t cover it” as if they don’t cover it at all. But when I called my insurance, they made it clear—they absolutely do cover it. The only reason it wasn’t covered in this case is because Nexus Dental didn’t follow the proper guidelines.

That’s on YOU, not my insurance. And let’s be real—I don’t even want to speak to the biller. The fact that the actual dentist can’t call me but is so eager for me to talk to the biller is sad. You know you did wrong, but instead of admitting the truth to my face, you’re sending someone else to do damage control. That says everything I need to know

The cleaning was fine but I was left in the chair and it was obvious the dentist had not shown up yet to the office. I just left. I was the only patient in there.

If you have good insurance, be careful with Nexus Dental because they might try to finesse you like they did me. I’ve been in my union for seven years, and I’ve never had to pay co-pays for dental work—until I started going here. At first, they kept charging me co-pays, which was already suspicious, but the final straw was when they tried to bill me $300 for a procedure that my insurance fully covers. I called my insurance directly, and they confirmed that Nexus Dental did not follow the proper billing guidelines, which is why I was being charged.

That’s not my fault—that’s theirs. When I refused to pay for their mistake, they sent the charge to a debt collector. Instead of owning up to their error, they’re trying to stick me with the bill. A dentist’s job isn’t just to treat patients—it’s to handle insurance correctly.

If they can’t do that, why should patients have to pay for their mistakes? If you value transparency and honest billing, I suggest you go somewhere else. As a content creator with 30,000 supporters, I’ll be making sure everyone—including those in the Maynard area—knows about the shady billing practices at Nexus Dental. People deserve transparency, not to get finessed by a place that doesn’t own up to its mistakes
