I can’t say enough about this office! Dr. Lui is the most amazing dentist I have ever been to! He is kind, gentle, and so good at what he does! I have had to root canals performed by him, and not once did I have any pain after the procedures. Karen, his assistant is amazing and Jolene, who greets you at the door works with you to make sure your appointments work with your schedule.

I came in for a root canal with around a weeks notice. Staff was very friendly and kind. The doctor that performed the root canal was efficient and it was done fairly quickly. I haven’t had any issues since. Would definitely recommend this office.

I don’t recommend surgery on an existing root canal. Dr Liu and the staff all ensured me there would be no issues and that isn’t the case. They all said they never had anyone complain post procedure. Someone in the reviews said there was no pain for the same procedure and they went straight to work after. I do not believe it one bit. The doctor said there will be swelling and discomfort/pain and there was, for 5 days. I could barely eat and had to put ice packs on my jaw. AFTER I got injected 5-6 times with novocain, the doctor asked if I want the surgery or another option is to take off the existing crown to see the actual damage of the tooth. Too late isn’t it?? Steps were left out during the explanation of the procedure, including this second option. They also didn’t explain BEFORE the injections that a sample of the tissue would be sent to the lab for testing to make sure it’s benign.

The only other options I was given before the procedure started were: surgery, extraction and root canal. He also said after the surgery that he took out MOST of the infection and the body will take care of a small one left BUT when I went back a second time due to pain after first check up, he said there is nothing he can do because he took out ALL the infected tissue. First the doctor said healing of the bone takes 2 weeks, and when I went back with pain for check up after 2 weeks he said it takes a year. I went back another time because the pain didn’t go away and it’s on the same exact tooth, he said it is not from that tooth because he took ALL the infection out. Which is in contradiction to what he said above. When he first saw the tooth he said that something must be done for the crown, so I reached out to my primary dentist who said there is nothing wrong with the crown he did. He had then called Dr Liu who then changed his story to say, there is nothing wrong with the crown. The two seem to work closely together. A lot of inconsistencies make me believe there is dishonesty. The method used was all manual, cutting and scraping, no other modern ways.

I asked the front desk to send all digital image to my new dentist and she said they will do it “tomorrow, because there is no scanner in the Londonderry office, only in methuen”. Obviously they now will send poor images that can not be read to my new dentist. Since when do dentists these days need scanners when all is digital? Speaking of images, they took not one but 3 X-rays of my exposed tooth prior to stitching it, because the first two times the film was too big; this was on top of a third CT scan the doctor did. One was the day of surgery (before starting it), one was on first visitation two weeks prior, and one was from my primary dentist who I was told sent unreadable image of the CT scan to Dr Liu. I also saw hesitation in Dr Liu’s eyes when I asked him to send images of post surgery to my new dentist. I should have searched other options before starting this, now I have to deal with the aftermath of it. I sure hope they send clear and good images to my new dentist, because if not, I will file a complaint with the board of dentistry. If the new dentist and second opinions verify what Dr Liu said, I will come back and update this review, but until then, I am very concerned and will have to follow through in various ways. If you have an existing root canal with infection, search other options.

First off, I just want to say how beautiful, clean, spacious, and inviting the office at New England Endodontic Solutions is. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease and well taken care of. I first met with the dental assistant, and she was an absolute gem. So kind, warm, and professional — she explained everything about the procedure thoroughly, made sure I understood the aftercare process, and even shared that she had undergone the same procedure herself, which helped calm my nerves. She stayed with me the entire time, was talkative in the best way, and her upbeat and friendly nature made the experience so much more comfortable and enjoyable. Then I met Dr. Hongsheng Liu — and all I can say is wow. What an exceptional doctor and person. From the very beginning, he was kind and respectful, taking the time to shake my hand and introduce himself, which I deeply appreciated.

He made sure I was completely numb and comfortable before beginning the procedure, and I can honestly say I felt no pain at all. The process does take a little time, but Dr. Liu was so gentle, compassionate, and attentive the entire way through — checking in with me, making conversation, and maintaining a calm and professional presence that made everything feel smooth and easy. At one point, he joked with me about how many people are terrified of root canals and the pain associated with them. He reassured me that there’s truly nothing to fear when you’re in good hands — to which I replied, “like you!” And it was the truth. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Something else that really stood out to me was when Dr. Liu took the time to compliment my general dentist on the quality of her crown prep work. I thought this was incredibly thoughtful and respectful — it’s rare to see professionals acknowledging and uplifting one another like that.

I can’t wait to tell my dentist because I know it will mean a lot to her, and it meant a lot to me. After being so nervous and scared of this root canal, I walked away realizing I had absolutely nothing to worry about. The whole process was smooth, gentle, and dare I say — pleasant! From the front desk staff to the assistant and Dr. Liu himself, everyone at New England Endodontic Solutions was kind, helpful, and exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone in need of a root canal to come here and seek care from Dr. Liu. He truly is the best! Thank you all so much for turning something scary into something so positive. 💖
