If you’ve never had a root canal, you probably think of that procedure being a horrible and painful experience. But most of us will have to have a root canal at one time or another, and if you find yourself in that situation, I would highly recommend Dr. Richard Raymond. I’ve now had 4 root canals performed by Dr.

Raymond, and the procedure is really not painful at all. Yeah, you’re shot full of Novocain, and your jaw will be a little sore for a couple of days, but it’s just not the big deal that most people think it is, and that’s because Dr. Raymond is so good at this. On top of that, he’s a great guy who you will be totally impressed by! So if you need a root canal, don’t hesitate to call his office and make an appointment!

I received the most professional and compassionate care from Dr. Richard L. Raymond and his team. I was afraid of the needed root canal, and even more of the additional, needed resorption repair. Dr. Raymond’s calm and reassuring manner is only exceeded by his professional, clear and detailed explanations of all treatment options. He shows you the x-rays and patiently answers all questions. His staff courteously and patiently assists with all clerical (including insurance reimbursement claims) and scheduling matters, and returns all calls in a short time with clear answers.

Every effort is made to ensure comfort during the procedure from the most modern equipment to painless numbing medication injections, dark glasses, noise cancelling headphones, and neck and back cushions. A small block is comfortably placed to keep your jaw open during the procedure. I felt no pain. Before the procedure begins, Dr. Raymond meets with you to answer any questions or concerns and lets you know how long the procedure will last. He quietly and gently performs the root canal and (in my case) resorption repair. When the procedure is finished, Dr. Raymond readily shows you the photos and x-rays.

He guides you through the post-procedure and follow-up appointment instructions. He follows up with a text or phone call to see how you are doing. He provides a direct phone number in case you need to reach him after office hours. I was in awe at how perfect my tooth looked immediately after the root canal and resorption repair! Dr. Raymond and his team (Norma, Taylor, Chanel and Carla) are the ultimate caring and knowledgeable professionals, truly exceptional. Dr. Raymond is a kind and gifted master of Endodontics, simply the BEST!

I had a wonderful experience getting a root canal with Dr. Raymond. He is young, explains everything so well, cares about my anxiety and offered very good solutions for that. I am 3 weeks out and feeling great. The whole procedure was painless because I had medicine that knocked me out. He texted me two days out and has reached out via email to make sure I was doing well. I don't usually leave reviews let alone one for multiple root canal procedures. However, I feel compelled to do so because of the excellent experience I have had (twice) with Dr. Raymond and his extremely professional staff. I was referred to Dr. Raymond by my regular dentist, and now I know why. He was able to accommodate my emergency need, and squeezed me into his schedule. From the front desk to the back room, they run a top notch operation and have all the latest modern equipment.

Dr. Raymond explains the procedure every step of the way and they go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable throughout the entre process. While "under the lights" they provide dark glasses (seems like a simple thing, but it's the first time they have been offered to me), noise cancelling headphones-pick you favorite Spotify play list (you still know there's work going on but it helps tremendously), and will stop at any sign of discomfort, to correct the issue. Dr. Raymond shows pre and post x-rays, and he makes sure to answer any questions you may have. They provide clear post procedure instructions along with providing Dr. Raymond's phone contact information should you have further questions or concerns.

If that's not enough, he personally follows up with a phone call to see how you are doing. I have had similar procedures over the years and I can honestly say my pain and discomfort afterwards was minimal and far less than my previous experiences. If you happened to land on his website in frantic search of someone to take care of your endodontic needs, emergency or not, look no further. Dr. Raymond and Modern Endodontics of Buckhead is the place for you. I'm not looking for another root canal, but if I need one, I know where I'm going.
