Following his military service, he completed a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, returning home in 1996. Since joining Mill Creek Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in 1996, Dr. Billy has become a leader in the field, focusing on dentoalveolar and implant surgery, reconstructive and facial trauma surgery, and office anesthesia. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a member of various professional organizations including the Ohio Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
