I was scheduled for a consult and ended up having a root canal the same day. While I had not mentally prepared myself for having the actual procedure done that day, I’m glad I did. Root canals have such a stigma attached that I was a little anxious to even go for a consult. However, I needed the molar tooth pain to cease. I was greeted by friendly office staff and treated very sweetly by all others. Mayra, the patient coordinator, took me back for x-rays and assisted Dr. D in the entire procedure. She was knowledge and kind. She would ask if I was doing ok several times from the numbing process to the end of the procedure.

During the numbing phase she was softly tapping my shoulder. That was just a small thoughtful way to comfort and reassure an anxious patient (me)…and it worked. She was great at explaining what was happening and what was coming up. Dr. D came in and introduced himself and shook my hand. He performed some tests and decided that a root canal would be necessary and that he had an opening to get it done that day! The office staff had prepared the financials so I knew the cost and had no financial surprises. Dr. D promised no pain during the procedure and he was telling the truth. There was a little discomfort at the beginning but that was remedied with an adjustment in the numbing medication.

Now 24 hours later, I receive a call from the office to see how I’m doing. I’m going well. No lingering pain. 😊 If you need to make an appointment and are a little anxious, go into the patient bathroom for a little reassurance. See picture below. I would easily recommend this office for a root canal and would return to Dr. D and his staff for additional root canals are needed in my future. Thanks to the entire office for making this experience survivable. 😊

I visited McDonough Endodontics for a root canal. My Doctor explained that there would be no pain. I was still apprehensive because of all the stigmas associated with root canals. But he was 100% correct.

No pain! The process took about 1 hour. The doctor and his assistant were very nice and answered all my questions. The following day, the staff called to check on me post-op. Overall, it was as good an experience as going to the Endo can be!

5 stars is not enough! My 13 son had a Dental emergency with two broken front teeth and one nerve exposed. Our pediatric dentist referred us to McDonough Endodontic center, it was a long drive from our house but I was so happy they were able to fit him first thing Friday morning as I was worried about his pain level going into the weekend. He was initially scheduled for a consult but Dr. St. Clair and her team fit him in to do a root canal to take care of the exposed root as his pain level was continuously increasing.

Everyone in the office, from the front to the back, was so kind and helpful and explained every step in great detail from the procedure to the billing without any pressure or rushing us. My son became very nervous just before the root canal and Missy and Dr. St. Clair were so kind and reassuring to him and myself that I cannot thank them enough. He did great and sailed through.

After he said it was so much easier than he had imagined. I am one relieved and happy mama. I would recommend to McDonough Endodontic Center to anyone!
