I called to see if my insurance was covered with this dentist office. The guy responded “why do I have to check that, you should call them” I said, that’s not nice to hear from a dentist office for someone looking for dental care. He tried to play it off and said it was a “joke” and then proceeded to transfer me to one of his colleagues. I didn’t stay for the transfer. I wanted to quickly add here my response to the owner below. I am confident that it was your office. I checked the phone number that I called and it matches yours here.

Yes, I have two google reviews one from my dentist when I live in San Diego and one for a restaurant that I ate at in Spain. I moved to New York and need a dentist so I reached out to your office not by mistake. As for the confusion about whether the person that answer is one of your team members I cannot provide clarity. I just know I called your number and had the above experience. Thank you for taking the time.

I am a long time patient at this office with Dr. Mark. When I say long time, I mean since childhood. I am extremely frustrated because I have to get an emergency extraction done and I call the office to make an appointment only to be told that Dr. Mark does not do extractions. Meanwhile, there have been multiple reviews (within the last year ) that mention getting extractions done.

This is such a shameful thing to do to a patient in need! I am on Medicaid for the time being and finances have been so tight for me. Extractions are covered by Medicaid when they are necessary as in this case yet I can’t even get my own dentist to do it. I call other offices and dentists say they only do extractions for their own patients and don’t take referrals. Now I have to pay $1200 to get this extraction done next week! I am a recent grad applying for my first career job and that is way out of my budget. This is just unethical !

I went in for a cleaning and that was just ok. I then saw the doctor and I needed a crown. On every visit I waited from 2 to 3 and half hour. My first visit they shaved my tooth and gave me a temporary plastic tooth which caused tremendous pain, discomfort and all kind of gum irritation with a bunch of canker sores. I went back on an emergency visit and after 3 hours I left with another temporary tooth. The very next morning I woke up with a swollen tooth and more canker sores.

Went back for the permanent tooth which took another 3 and half hour. Once the local anesthesia wore off one of my upper tooth was chipped and the crown feels extremely rough and not placed well. A complete 3 weeks disaster and now I have to go look for a real dentist to fix the damage this people did. Stay away.
