Dr. Shakfa and staff go the extra mile to truly understand what my concerns are regarding the health of my teeth. He pays attention to detail, and answers questions thoroughly. I had an implant put in and I was blown away by how gentle he is.

I can’t tell you enough how many times I’ve had cement removed from my teeth by two different orthodontist’s, thinking about it makes my teeth hurt. But Dr. Shakfa did even hurt me not a bit, he prides his self for being gentle, and he very successful doing just that. Even if my body started to tense up he would make any small adjustments necessary if I felt any discomfort.

He takes his time, thoroughly. And every single time he exceeds his work. Honestly he is the best! Makes me smile when I see my results in the mirror. A special thank you to Laura for always being so kind, she also goes the extra mile, she called my sons daycare for me so I didn’t have to worry about calling while driving! The sweetest thing ever! Such a huge gesture 💕 Thank you so much Laura!

After searching tirelessly for a dentist that works with special needs patients, I found this place. They handled x-rays with patience and professionalism. The day the dental work was performed, I was put at ease. The dentist let me know how he would manage things. Everyone was still as patient and professional as the first day. Needless to say, I found a new dental home for my brother.

Dr. Shakfa is an amazing doctor, I had a complicated root canal which he managed to take out completely, my roots were so deep and not easy to take out! I was referred to him by my other dentist to get one of my tooth retreated, he did an amazing job and the discomfort I had was completely gone!! He also followed up on how I was feeling next morning! I highly recommend Dr.

Shakfa for his quality of work.

I had an accident at seven that chipped my front tooth right when they were growing in…that blunt force trauma created a long 22 years of suffering with costly dental procedures, toothaches, bad dental work from many dentists leading to low self esteem and a constant battle with depression. I met Dr. Shakfa in 2011 when he did three root canals on my bottom right molars. For the first time ever I didn’t have a bad reaction. So I went back to him to get an implant on my bottom left side. I really knew he was special then, because again I did not have any negative reaction. Then I moved to Ohio, so I thought I could find a great dentist down here.

See in my life with the dentists that I have been treated under they never took the time to really make sure their work was properly done or if the procedures were going to be effective, until Dr. Shakfa (but the dilemma was he was in Michigan and I was in Ohio). So, against my gut I went with a local dentist in Ohio. Then I ended up losing more teeth either because certain issues were overlooked which led to them having to be pulled, or the dentist improperly fitting the crowns over my teeth which led me to ultimately lose them. Do you know how devastating it is to work so hard and pay so much to try to save your teeth to still turn around and lose them? This top tier local dentist affected my self-esteem and broke my pockets…meaning all the work done in Ohio ended up being less than par technique, unnecessary procedures, and super expensive. I never thought I could be even more dissatisfied in the health of my mouth. This is coming from a woman who brushes at least 2 times a day, floss after every meal and even throughout the day, take teeth and gum vitamins, who has had more root canals than roots, paid for braces, and I can go on and on.

I have literally bought a house in my mouth. Finally, I got fed up and I found Dr. Shakfa again I am just honored and super grateful that he took his time with me, he explained things, he remained patient, and he understood my deep desire to have a beautiful smile. He is hands down the best dentist I have ever had and will be the ONLY dentist I let in me and my kids mouths and even though I live in Ohio and have been for the last 10 years…I will take that trip each and every time. Thank you Doctor…these words cannot even put a dent in how super appreciative I am to you and your staff. I wake up every morning to look in the mirror to make sure it’s not a dream. I have teeth now, beautiful teeth, I have a beautiful smile and I thank you for that…and I thank you for everything ❤️ You just don’t know what you have done for my confidence and self esteem…thank you soooo much!!
