Very poor doctor/ patient skills. Dr Faraj abrupt and rude. She and the dental assistant talked as if I wasn't in the room. The oral surgeon they referred me to won't accept my insurance. For the amount of work left to do novocaine is not enough.

I didn't appreciate Dr. Farah deciding for me how much medication I would need. Services available have changed. Don't go to Lakewood Dental Group.

This place honestly isn’t good. I do not recommend. I’ve had so many bad experiences. 1. It takes forever to get them to answer the phone so you can schedule an appointment. I called everyday for 2 weeks and no one answered. For my first appointment, there was no one at the front desk for 30 minutes so me and other patients weren’t able to check in 2.

I went in for a cleaning and they didn’t clean and ended up checking on one of my fillings. 3. They tried to do a procedure that would have cost me around $500 dollars. They said my insurer covered it and thank God I double checked because they did not. Poorly ran place.

I went to this practice for 15 years and will never return and don’t recommend it. High turnover, they’ve lost all their good dentists and staff, and made me almost lose a healthy tooth. Last year I saw Dr Farraj for a cleaning who said nothing to me. When she left the room I was asked to schedule fillings. I declined because of poor communication and asked to follow up with another dentist in 6 months.

Dr Lorton said I needed no fillings. I experienced dental trauma and went in for an emergency visit with Lorton last week. I was told after 2 x rays and an hour and a half visit that my healthy molar was cracked and needed removed. I overheard her get a second opinion from a male dentist who said the tooth was a “lost cause. ” I went to the referred oral surgeon today to get it removed and was told my dentist has no idea what they’re talking about, my tooth is healthy and I have a gum infection.

Moreover, it took multiple phone calls to get X-rays sent to the oral surgeon and they had the wrong date on them when finally sent requiring yet another follow up call. I really fear for the issues and unnecessary dental work people will get from LDG. I’ll be seeking an experienced dentist with more reliable staff elsewhere.

I made the mistake of scheduling a routine dental cleaning at this horrible establishment because I recently moved to Lakewood. Everything with the cleaning was fine, no complaints there. Then the dentist came in and told me that I needed two crowns put in. What?? I’ve never even had a cavity in my life. I attempted to explain this to Dr. Faraj, who completely dismissed me.

She would not hear a word I had to say and rudely explained how I need two crowns on my back molars. I left the dentist with a quote for thousands of dollars and a sick feeling in my stomach. I decided to get a second opinion with my old dentist who is 40 minutes away. Wow was that worth the drive! My old dentist told me that I didn’t even have cavities on those two teeth. It was just minor staining with absolutely no decay. He explained that some dentists out there just want to go to the most extreme treatment options just to make money.

They don’t listen to the concerns of the patient. Safe to say I will continue going to my old dentist and will never step foot at this location again. And another thing- I’m unsure of what idiots they staff their front office with, but not only was my name and address spelled incorrectly in the system, but they also emailed me the wrong patient’s X-rays when I requested them. Talk about a HIPPA violation!
