Dr.Stegmann and his dental assistance are the kindest, gentlest people. I went in with horrible dental anxiety, and cried in the office. Dr. Stegmann walked me through and explained every single thing he did before I was sedated, and the entire procedure felt like 5 minutes. It was painless, and easy. I would highly recommend anyone who needs any sort of Oral Surgery to look into this office

I would recommend just about anywhere else than this office. Renee (not sure her title) is the most unprofessional person and very unwelcoming to new patients. I was referred to this office from my dentist for my wisdom teeth extraction and upon scheduling my appointment I was informed they would email me with all the pre-op instructions and patient registration and confirm my appointment date and time (4/6). Once I received the email on 1/17, they informed me they were having issues verifying my insurance and to provide copies of my insurance and confirmed my appointment of 4/4. A date that was different than the date given to me on the phone. In which I responded via email, the same day (1/17), with copies of my insurance and asked to confirm my appointment date as I had previously had a different date given to me over the phone.

A week goes by with no response , I then emailed again 1/26 asking for an update. In which I was informed on 1/26 that “we will be sure to let you know as things progress, we are currently catching up with our current appointments”. I than called to speak to someone to confirm my insurance and appointment date (as most places - this is a feasible simple task) to low and behold get greeted with Renee on the phone. Renee than puts me on hold saying she is checking out a patient and once picked up off hold tells me she does not have the time to complete my request and that she will have to call me back. I informed Renee that I was displeased and this is very unprofessional and off putting to someone who is a new patient and has never undergone a procedure and I will likely cancel. I got a “sorry you feel that way”.

I have since scheduled elsewhere and canceled my appointment. When I emailed her my cancellation, she didn’t even bother to spell my name correctly. I urge you, if you are in any sense nervous or uneasy about a procedure ,even as simple as teeth extraction, go somewhere where you feel welcomed and cared for as a patient. This office should be ashamed in their customer service and presence presented to patients.

I had a great experience having two wisdom teeth removed. Linda in the office was very pleasant, accommodating and helpful. Dr Stegmann and his staff (unfortunately I do not remember their names) were fantastic. They walked me through the process before they started. I would highly recommend going to this Oral Surgeon.

I had a great experience at Lakeside Oral Surgery recently (April 2025) -- one that did NOT reflect the several bad reviews left here on google a few years ago. Everyone was professional, kind, courteous, prompt, helpful, and reassuring. Dr. Stegmann and his staff are to be congratulated. Anytime health professionals make an anxiety-producing experience a good one is worth my business.
