I have had a total of four dentist in my 22 years of life. Two of which I was afraid of because of the negative experiences I’ve had. My very first dentist was literally a grumpy old man who had a “beware of dentist” sign in his office window; and the place wasn’t bright and welcoming to me. I remember it being dark and gloomy - like monster house (it’s a movie for kids google it) and yes I was a kid when I was going to him. From him I went to a new dentist, a Russian lady who seemed nice at first and gentle. However, the first time I had to do actually work, she barely listen to me when I would tell her (By constantly raising my hand) I was feeling whatever it was she was doing, she would get an attitude because I was constantly raising my hand which meant she had to stop constantly. I also got a cap from this Russia dentist and was explaining it was big and uncomfortable - her solution was to just file it down (it’s still uncomfortable and I’ve had it for years refusing to get it looked at because I was now terrified of going to the dentist). My third dentist was a children’s dentist - yes I went that low lol- but after his cleaning of my teeth n telling me what I needed done I never went back. It wasn’t until I was over do for a cleaning that I started inquiring about a new dentist.

My boyfriend and his mom spoke about how they’ve been going to their dentist office for years and he never had a bad experience. So I scheduled an appointment and did a simple cleaning with Dr. Minhas during the middle of Covid. At this first appointment she cleaned my teeth without using the noisy tools n water thingy. The fear in my heart when she said she’d have to do it with the usual tools and water, grew times 10. However IT WAS NOT BAD AT ALL! That first impression was a great impression. So of course I went back for work I knew I had to get done. I did 3 fillings all in an hour and it was painless and felt soooo quick (compared to my dreadful past dentist visits that seem to take eternity). Dr.

Minhas was gentle, calm, and most importantly she LISTENS! When I requested more numbing agent because of my past experience- she understood and went right ahead and numbed me more. She actually made the experience- my first experience (of getting work done)here at lake success great. I can say it was a almost a relaxing experience - with the exception of the inevitable noise of the tools that make me cringe still. Aside from that and the fact that they are out of contract(meaning you’d have a heftier price to pay for the dentist works rather than the majority of it be covered) with uft but they do accept it. . . aside from those two things, I think I may have found my new dentist thanks to Dr. Minhas!

She is very nice and will not chase you to upgrade your care. The other dentists ask me to extract my wisdom teeth which I never have problem with and she never said a thing about my wisdom teeth. She is also very knowledgeable and informative.

I have been seeing Dr. Minhas for a while now. Her bedside manner is excellent, she is knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable. Very professional, exactly what you would want and expect from a dentist. The dental hygienist is also great, very gentle and thorough.

I recommend this place 100%. My mom had come to visit me and was complaining of tooth pain she’d been suffering with for over a month. Thankfully, this office was able to squeeze her in the very next morning and I filled out all her paperwork online, so that she could just go in and be seen right away.

This process was seamless and I appreciated them accommodating on such short notice. Dr Minhas was top tier and very knowledgeable. My mom had such a great visit to the dentists office, she would love to continue seeing her even though she does not live in this area! Worth the trip to New Hyde Park!
