Had to fix a chipped tooth, Dr. Chin's staff helped me right away. Got me a appointment very quickly. Dr. Chin was extremely helpful and gave me information about my teeth that my regular dentist failed to mention to me. Dr. Chin, Dr. Yeung, and staff are all very friendly and personable. I would highly recommend this practice to my family and friends.

Left this place traumatized, 5 years ago. Decided to write a review finally after so long when some friends encouraged me to speak up about my experience. After all, a professional with a good track record and healthy communication would be able to explain themselves, right? All seemed good and was going smoothly when I worked with the female dentist (they were a married couple running this location). Then, I didn't hear back for the next part of my treatment (got my teeth pulled, but did not yet receive my first set of Invisalign aligners). I got somewhat paranoid when the wife left for vacation after pulling my teeth for an Invisalign treatment, as Dr. Kevin Chin (who honestly has no business being a doctor, since he clearly does not follow the ethics or morality code) had no written record of receipt or any indication of Invisalign services and such. His dentist wife did not explain to me that I needed to deposit money for the treatment right away, thus delaying it as she was out of the country (I could not contact her during this time), and she also did not even inform the other staff nor the main dentist. Kevin then proceeded to harass me verbally and emotionally. The receptionist was no better, gaslighting me and yelling at me over the phone (and also in person— she was so rude, and I'd love to hear her reason why, because it's probably something ridiculous like "how dare you ask for an invoice?"— a BUSINESS, who have no invoices or receipts, wow). If you think the issue is me, let me tell you I've been to 2 other dental offices run by other dentists in the Northeast area, and I've never had any issues with them. One was Dr.

Bela Patel, who I've been going to for many years. She has worked with the same receptionist over the years, who is also kind and cordial. And the other is Dr. Joseph Zacharias, very professional and clearly communicative. So, I was in shock to be dealing with dental staff here who were clearly harassing me. When I asked for basic documents like an invoice or a record of my treatments and services, Kevin asked me if I would pay for his bookkeeper or for his time to type it up. Excuse me? You run a business, sir. Are you speaking down to me because you think if you intimidate me enough, I will just let you do whatever? How would you feel if a (male) doctor did that to your own child, or your own daughter? How disgusting and manipulative. I was legit scared and panicking after we put down a bunch of money for the treatment, with them essentially emotionally threatening me and doing nothing to communicate in a healthy/professional manner. I ended up having to report this to Invisalign directly, who internally investigated this matter immediately. And then finally, they agreed to refund any and all money for any service that I (did not yet) receive(d), so that I could finally receive teeth straightening services at a different facility.

Though, Kevin also tried to get me to sign some document so that I wouldn't sue them or disclose my experience publicly or something crazy. He wanted me to sign it before refunding me the money, LOL. He took a month or so before finally paying back, though someone in my family had to help me type up a document to request the refund or take him to court. Interesting how he had the time to type up a legal document to settle the matter, but doesn't know how to print out a simple invoice. Literally if he just provided an invoice of the services and the agreed payment, then we would have squashed the issue and everyone would have been satisfied. Don't know what was soooo hard about having your accounting properly in order for your medical business. 🙄 I can't believe this dental practice is still around, and Kevin Chin is a POS. I like to support minority-owned businesses and such, but I won't lie to you, avoid this place like the plague. If anyone ever needs teeth straightening or cleaning, I can recommend other dentists/orthodontists in the area. (Updated some info, wrote this 2+ years ago, and this happened 8 years ago. )
