Jacobi Dental Center

Jacobi Dental Center is the department of dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery at Jacobi Medical Center, a 457-bed teaching hospital affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Situated in the Morris Park section of the Bronx, Jacobi Medical Center is the largest public hospital in the borough and a member of the NYC Health + Hospitals system. The dental center provides comprehensive ambulatory care for both adults and children, offering a full spectrum of dental services. These services range from routine preventive care like cleanings and fillings to advanced procedures such as dental implants, root canals, crowns, bridges, and cosmetic dentistry. A key feature of the Jacobi Dental Center is its role as a Level 1 trauma center, which allows its dental residents to work with emergency room personnel to treat patients with maxillofacial trauma. It also provides specialized care for patients with developmental disabilities through the Rose F. Kennedy Center, which is located on-site. The center is also recognized for its expertise in pediatric dentistry and craniofacial care, with an accredited congenital craniofacial care center team. In addition to its patient care, Jacobi Dental Center is a prominent educational institution. It offers several postgraduate residency programs, including General Practice Residency (GPR), Pediatric Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, dental anesthesiology, and a fellowship in Craniofacial and Surgical Orthodontics.
