Our experience at this orthodontic clinic was disappointing. The appointment felt rushed, and the dentist didn’t fully answer my questions, instead directing me to the coordinator—who also failed to explain things properly. Rather than addressing my child’s concerns, the coordinator seemed more worried about them “breaking” the chair. She worried more about how much or if we can afford the braces. The financial aspect was also concerning.
They required an $800 down payment with $200 monthly payments (even with our insurance), whereas our new orthodontist only required $300 down and $160 a month. Dr. Hickman even claimed that if my 7-year-old didn’t get braces immediately, she would need jaw surgery in the future. However, our new orthodontist reassured us that my child still has many baby teeth coming in and there’s no rush. The only positive here was quick scheduling, but I suspect it’s due to a lack of patients rather than efficiency.
Despite the dentist’s awards, the care didn’t reflect it. Would not recommend.

Huge shoutout to Hickman Orthodontics and every single person we've engaged with there over the last 9 years. Every single one of them have been awesome from the receptionists, to the ortho assistants, the orthodontists, x-ray tech. .
. Always timely, great customer service in person and on the phone, genuines smiles, fresh baked cookies every visit in the cooler months and slushies in the warmer months…We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

My son has just had his braces off, he has been with them for almost 3years now. He had many hurdles to go through and they were very supportive through each one, and very patient when he wasn’t comfortable with trying a new appliance. They really listen to your concerns and make it as easy as possible. Now that his braces are off his teeth look amazing! He is so happy with them, and so are we!

Drs. Hickman and Slania (and their entire crew) are incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Their office is very clean and the service is top notch. They are thoughtful in their treatment approach and plan and we can tell that they genuinely care about our daughters.
