Healthy Smiles Dental lives up to its name—they truly prioritize keeping your smile healthy. I’ve been a patient for 3 years, and every visit is a breeze. Dr. Gomez is great at explaining things in simple terms, never making me feel rushed. My last filling was painless, and he checked in multiple times to ensure I was comfortable.

The hygienists are thorough but gentle, and they gave me awesome tips to improve my flossing routine. The office is bright and clean, with a friendly staff that remembers my name. They work with my insurance seamlessly and offer evening appointments, which is perfect for my schedule. What I love most? They focus on prevention, so I leave feeling like they care about my long-term dental health, not just quick fixes. Highly recommend!

Prior to my first appointment at Healthy Smiles, I hadn't seen a dentist in over 10 years. I had a really bad experience at my childhood dentist that left me uninspired with dentists in general. In addition to this, I struggle with several mental health conditions, the most severe of which is PTSD. At the time I finally decided to go see a dentist again in 2021/22, I was at the height of a particularly agonizing dissociative episode which spanned over the course of several months. Despite this, I had tooth pain and knew it was time to do something about it- so I persevered and made an appointment based solely on the excellent practice reviews on Google. Walking into the office- you’re immediately greeted with a very calm and positive energy. The associates at the front desk are warm and inviting and always friendly. At my initial appointment- the first thing I noticed about the rooms was that the chairs were facing the windows and not the hallway where you enter the room. This immediately made me very anxious and I almost backed out as I struggle immensely to be in any space- especially confined spaces, where I can’t see and monitor the escape route clearly. It took me about 5 minutes just to sit in that chair, and I was looking over my shoulder consistently while in it.

The dental assistant/hygienist was so kind and warm to me, which did help. I unfortunately am not very vocal about my mental health conditions which I should be- but I struggle to find my voice-especially in medical settings. After examining my teeth & taking some X-Rays, Dr. Kingston was called in to go over the plan with me. Without me saying a word- he immediately picked up on my anxiety- riddled demeanor, and was just really calm, kind and concise in his explanation of the work that needed completed. He prescribed medication to help me relax during the first dental work appointment that I had- and this was honestly so helpful. I can count on one hand the number of times that I have had a doctor show such a high level of empathy for his patients and Dr. Kingston exudes both of these qualities consistently. That first year, I got half of what I needed fixed, but neglected the other half until just this year- through no fault of Healthy Smiles- it was just mentally very difficult for me to show up. With the help of intensive therapy and reminding myself of the exceptional care that I received at Healthy Smiles Dental, I was able to complete all of the work that I needed to catch up on this year in March of 2025.

I also had my first dental cleaning in over 10 years! Every employee that has worked on my teeth since my initial visit, is well trained and shares the same excellent bedside manner that Dr. Kingston has. He has clearly set the bar very high for how personnel treat both patients and each other. The staff at Healthy Smiles Dental consistently make me feel safe and cared for by clearly stating what they are doing and when/how. They are incredibly observant of the smallest of body language changes and anticipate when you need a break- even without you mentioning it. They also offer breaks frequently instead of just rushing through procedures. When patients feel safe, they show up and take care of their health- I’m proof of this. Finding any healthcare provider that makes me feel safe is a battle- Healthy Smiles Dental has succeeded in what I didn’t even think was possible. If you’re like me and struggle with mental health conditions that make having dental work completed difficult, this is your sign to consider seeing Dr. Kingston and his team at Healthy Smiles Dental!

Dr. Kingston and his staff made my kids feel very comfortable and welcome. It's the best experience they have had a in a long time. It was a very short wait to be seen, and I was allowed to come back with them for the appointment, which even some pediatric dentists won't allow!
