Growing Smiles is a lifesaver for parents of little ones! My 3-year-old used to scream at the mention of "tooth doctor," but after 6 months here, she runs in excited to see Dr. Lee. The office is a kid’s paradise—bright murals, a play area with tiny dental chairs, and even a treasure chest post-visit. Dr. Lee has a magic touch, turning cleanings into "sparkle checks" and using puppets to explain what’s happening.

The staff gets on her level, kneeling to talk and high-fiving her bravery. They’re patient with wiggly kids, never rushing, and send cute reminder texts with cartoon teeth. When my son needed a filling, they used "sleepy juice" and made it feel like a adventure. Finally, a pediatric dental office that gets it—we’re hooked!

Absolutely recommend! Originally took my daughter to the Richmond location by referral. . 10 years later, i normally take her to the chesterfield office, however, they were all booked for a couple months out. . i was still able to get her in sooner at the SCS office though! All locations are beyond WONDERFUL!!! Staff is so kind, helpful and professional and the practice as a whole- pediatric, Orthodontics and adult dentistry being connected makes it all THAT much easier.

I took my daughter ( 3 years old non verbal autistic) here for her first ever dentist appointment. The staff was amazing and very friendly. Such a great experience! Highly recommend!

My son goes to this office for dental cleanings, and on his last visit, they came up with a treatment plan for some work he "needed". Over $1000 after my insurance ($3346 before insurance) and they gave me referrals for other offices for his root canal work he needed. Took him to U of D Mercy Dental School in Detroit for a second opinion and because they also gave me a referral there. Upon U of D completing an exam with xrays with two dental students and a Dentist (who is an instructor who also completed a full exam on him) in attendance, they found that the 3 fillings, 1 root canal, sealant and crown he "needed" were not necessary. Instead their treatment plan included one filling and two sealants, costing me $27 out of pocket after insurance. A far cry from the over $1000 they wanted to charge me for the work their Dentist recommended.

The dentist and students at U of D were appalled at the "treatment plan" I was given by this office. I cannot stress how important a second opinion is to get, especially if you feel as though they are not fair in pricing or work they think should be done. My son has no pain associated with the tooth they wanted the root canal on, and any other dental office would have said to hold off and monitor that tooth, if it begins to cause discomfort, then they would move forward with a full root canal. This office is literally taking full advantage of people with no other resources or knowledge regarding dental work. Thank you for referring us to U of D, that was probably the only thing done properly by this dental practice. I will not be bringing my children back here and I encourage other parents to move to other practices; preferred dental in Eastpointe is leaps and bounds above this office (we used to go there and loved it, but my insurance provider changed, prompting the move to GS).

I am so glad I got a second opinion instead of trusting this practice and subjecting my poor 10 year old to unnecessary dental work that would have likely traumatized him a bit. Zero stars would be given if I could. Growing smiles, please do better or please just stop providing these services to families and children.
