This Doc and her team have been nothing short of A+ Players. I have referred multiple patients, including my Dad (Have you scene Grumpier Old Men?) and he too left very impressed.

My sister told me she even experienced a bit of pre procedure anxiety and how Sarah and her staff were extremely comforting and helpful and it went great. A very strong balance of knowledge and wisdom in this office, and a BIG thanks!

When I called to make an appointment for a root canal I told them I was very anxious about having any dental work. My dentist told me to make sure I let them know. They assured me that they did everything they could to make you comfortable. Warm blankets, and headphones. I was not offered either one of these. I asked for nitrous oxide to help me relax. They dropped the mask on my nose and left. I told them it wasn't sealed right on my nose so it wasn't doing any good.

They turned it up. It still wasn't doing any good. It never did do any good. She said "not getting you high enough"? I resent that. It was an awful experience and will not have it done again. I'd rather have the tooth pulled. I don't like paying $1000 for dental work and I sure don't like paying for nitrous oxide that just blew into the room and did absolutely nothing for my anxiety.

I have had multiple root canals at other places. The day my tooth flared up I knew I needed a root canal, but was frustrated to have to wait several days to see a dentist, then the surgeon my dentist referred me to was going to make me wait another 10 days. I was really disappointed and just wanted it done so I decided to call around & found Grand River Endodontics. They got me in the next afternoon.

Turns out I had a very complicated root canal with a very deep root, and other curved, split roots. They took their time and stayed late to do the job right. Yes, we were all thankful when it was finally done, but after my husbands last root canal somewhere else that missed some and he had to have it re-done, I was so thankful for the care and thoroughness here. They did offer nitrous and a warm blanket, while I didn’t use either I was thankful for the kindness and encouragement I received throughout.

Afterwards, knowing that it was a more difficult procedure than usual & that might cause a more difficult recovery, they gave me pain meds in the office along with calling in a prescription for stronger pain meds. I was treated well and given excellent care. I would go here again in the future.

My son crashed on his road bike and had trauma to his teeth, two broken teeth and a hole at the bottom from a root that popped out. We went to check on his teeth due to an infection. During the x-ray the nurse was pushing the device into my son's mouth and ripped the piece that connects the tongue to the mouth (lingual frenulum) which caused him to pull back due to pain. He has been in so much pain due to that. Here is what happened: I get back to where my son is and he is crying, I talked to the nurse she said that the machine is big and sometimes it hurts. I said no, don't make him fear x rays that has never made me cry, something happened and is wrong. My son was bawling at this point and can barely speak and then opened his mouth to show me under his tongue and it was bleeding and torn. I told him in front of her that that was not normal and should not have happened. I told her to come look at it.

She peeked and saw the blood and said well the machine is big and there is a lot to it. Then she just walked away. When the Dr came back he was still crying (quite a while later) and the first thing she says is her nurse has been there for 30 years and is the most gentle in the office and she will back her up no matter what. So basically no matter what I say or what happened to my son you already decided not to care or believe us. Dr Masterson said it was his fault because he moved. He said it happened while the nurse was pushing it into his mouth he felt it pop and the skin break so yes he pulled away, it hurt. He is 11. Not a little child. He is my most responsible and easy going kid.

So to try to blame him and not take ownership for your mistake makes me upset. Of course the Dr also said she wasn't there watching the x ray but of course she chose her lady over my son. Now I have to try to undo the fear of x rays they have created. This sweet boy has been thru enough. If you are looking for people who own up to their mistakes or try to make it better and are gentle, keep looking. In the picture if you zoom in you can see the tear and the jagged edge on the skin. It had been bleeding but he swallowed it away so I could get a better picture.
