Detailed Introduction

Good Care Dental, located at 5775 Jimmy Carter Blvd #440, Norcross, GA 30071, operates as a vital component of the Good Samaritan Health Center of Gwinnett. This dental practice is distinctly community-oriented, with a primary mission to offer accessible and affordable dental care to uninsured and low-income residents of Gwinnett County, Georgia. This focus aligns with the broader mission of the Good Samaritan Health Center, which aims to demonstrate compassionate care by providing quality and affordable primary healthcare and dental services. Eligibility for their services is income-based, typically requiring households to be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, with income documentation necessary before appointments. This approach ensures that their services reach those most in need within the community. The range of dental services provided by Good Care Dental is focused on essential and restorative care. These services include: Adult and child hygiene (teeth cleaning): Emphasizing preventive care for all ages. Filling of cavities: Addressing common dental decay. Extractions: For teeth that cannot be saved. Restoration of front teeth, including root canals: Focusing on the visible and functional aspects of the smile. Partials and dentures: To replace missing teeth and restore chewing function. It's important to note that Good Care Dental, as part of Good Sam Gwinnett, does not typically offer more specialized or cosmetic services such as orthodontics (braces), endodontic treatment of molars, oral surgery beyond basic extractions, periodontal treatment, fixed prosthodontics, implants, or extensive cosmetic dentistry. Appointments are required, and walk-ins are generally not accommodated for dental services. They have a strict policy regarding missed appointments, where a no-show may result in not being scheduled again. Good Care Dental's commitment is evident in its dedication to fundamental oral health, aiming to prevent painful and expensive issues through regular care and education on proper hygiene, such as brushing twice daily and flossing regularly. Their operations are a testament to providing essential healthcare services with a charitable and community-centric approach.

THIS VISIT WAS HORRIBLE!!!! Let's start with the facility. The lobby is deceiving. It looks clean and professional. Once you pass the door to enter cleaning quarters, it's disgusting. The equipment is antiquated and should have been replaced years ago. I requested that he change his gloves, but he ignored me. The doctor is not very friendly, and is downright rude.

He is not articulate and when not understood, he gets irritable and jerks your head since he can't convey what he needs. He continued to stab my gums with the apparatus and continually wet my hair!!!! NO ONE explained to me what was going on. Typically, there's communication every step of your cleaning. I had to ask if they were done because I was left in the room. Last but not least, they refused to provide me with a printout/receipt of my services. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE AND ADVISE YOU TO GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!

In my most honest words, I try to avoid going to the dentist. But at any time or moment in my life when I am in excruciating pain do to a tooth problem, this is the Dentist that comes in mind. Its affordable, he cares about your situation and tries to fit you in his schedule ASAP if your case is severe. I have been a patient at this location for 5 years.

Charges more compared to other standard dentist office like Dent First. Did a root canal. Especially when you say you have insurance, he starts to charge you more. The fee varies based on whether you have insurance or not.

Only good thing is that the procedure was painless. He is not very clear on what to be done next. If one other patient cancels the appointment, he will try to drag your treatment. Overall Not very Happy Ending!!
