My brother and I scheduled our appointments back in June. They cancelled our appointments less than a day before with a voicemail and the soonest they could reschedule us was 6 weeks out. We showed up today and they told us that our appointments were cancelled, and when we asked what had happened they said they left us a voicemail back in June— which had been pertaining to the first appointments, not these rescheduled ones.

But regardless, no appointment, and we go back to college in weeks so there's no time to reschedule again. Genuinely ludicrous.

My recent visit to the dentist office Gentle Dentistry, the New Hope Winnetka location was unfortunately overshadowed by an incident of racial profiling and unprofessional conduct. Upon arrival for my scheduled appointment, accompanied by a client, I was dismayed to discover that my appointment had been rescheduled without prior notification. Despite having sent all necessary documents, including insurance details, ahead of time, I was informed that they were never received, despite clear evidence suggesting otherwise. Attempting to address this discrepancy with the receptionist only served to exacerbate the situation. Despite maintaining a composed demeanor throughout the interaction, she became increasingly hostile and irrational.

Despite my efforts to calmly explain the situation, she raised her voice and demanded that I leave the premises. This behavior was deeply distressing, particularly considering that my client suffers from severe anxiety-induced seizures. What made matters worse was the presence of another dentist in the office who appeared completely oblivious to the unfolding situation. It is evident that the receptionist's conduct is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the professionalism and integrity of the practice. Overall, my experience at Gentle Dentistry was marred by racial profiling, incompetence, and unprofessional behavior from the receptionist.

I urge the management to address this issue promptly and consider whether the individual in question is fit to handle patient interactions. Such behavior has no place in any professional setting and must be addressed accordingly. Also they take medicare insurance and treat the same patients they claim to accept with discriminatory behavior. This place deserves zero stars and I would never refer any patient to this clinic.

Poor communication, it took me almost a month to get an appointment set up and I had to call multiple times to schedule. They did my X-ray and did not give me a dental plan or explain what I would need to get my teeth better, I was given a cleaning(the hygienist who did the cleaning was a really nice lady), and set up to do a filling and no follow up, they also do not give you very many payment options.

Terrible communication overall, they need to get better at that.

Everyone at this office is amazing! The hygienist who did my cleaning was very kind. When I needed my first ever fillings, the doctor and assistant were phenomenal and explained everything incredibly well! I had to go back to get extra polishing done on one of my fillings because the texture was bothering me and my appointment was only 5 minutes long to get it fixed! 11/10 recommend.
