Dr. Frutchey grew up in Riverview Park, Pennsylvania, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry/Cell Biology from Bucknell University. He then achieved his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating as valedictorian of his class. His specialized endodontic training and certificate were completed at Tufts University. With over 20 years of experience in endodontics, Dr. Frutchey established his first practice in Lewisville, Colorado, in 2003, before returning to his hometown in Berks County, Pennsylvania, to be closer to his family. Frutchey Endodontics focuses on preserving natural teeth through advanced endodontic procedures. Their comprehensive services include: Root Canal Treatment: This is the primary service, involving the removal of infected or inflamed pulp from the tooth's interior, cleaning and shaping the canals, and then sealing them to prevent future infection. Root Canal Retreatment: For cases where a previous root canal was unsuccessful or new issues arise, this procedure involves re-opening the tooth to clean and reseal the canals. Endodontic Surgery (Apicoectomy): When conventional root canal treatment isn't sufficient, surgical procedures like an apicoectomy are performed to remove the infected tip of the tooth root.
