Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida, Inc. is a non-profit organization and a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that operates multiple clinics throughout Southwest Florida. Their mission is to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and accessible healthcare services to all members of the community, with a particular emphasis on low-income, uninsured, and underinsured individuals and families. The organization's Cape Coral location at 316 Del Prado Blvd S, which is also known as Del Prado Family Dental, offers a wide range of services beyond just dentistry. The dental clinic provides comprehensive care for both adult and pediatric patients. These services include preventive care, such as cleanings, sealants, and dental education, as well as restorative procedures and emergency dental services. The clinic is staffed by highly skilled dentists and a dedicated team focused on creating a comfortable and welcoming environment. In addition to general dentistry, the broader Family Health Centers network offers an array of other services, including adult medicine, pediatrics, women's health, optometry, podiatry, and pharmacy services. This integrated approach allows for seamless referrals and coordinated care across different specialties. A key feature of Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida is its commitment to serving the entire community, regardless of a person's ability to pay. As an FQHC, the clinic operates on a sliding fee scale, where fees for essential services are discounted based on a patient's family size and income. The organization also accepts various insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare, making it a crucial safety net for vulnerable populations. This community-focused model extends to its outreach programs, such as the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, which provides dental screenings and preventive treatments to underserved children directly at their schools. The clinic is part of a larger network with multiple locations across Lee and Charlotte counties, as well as the western portion of Hendry County, ensuring that quality healthcare is widely available in the region.

My whole family has been able to get quality ,low cost health care despite the current state's administration Cutting health & Medicaid coverage for millions of Floridians' after receiving any assistance to rebuild their homes from Hurricane Ian damages counting it as assets. This clinic offers coverage based on household income. Just bring your W2s and the staff takes care of the rest. You will have forms to fill to input identity ,past health problems & once in system , you are good to go.

My daughter had an emergency illness when we lost coverage recently & this clinic was able to help! We waited in clean lobby as patients already scheduled had to be seen yet we were seen within 2 hours with an absolutely FULL lobby! Amazing! Only 2 doctors ,staff and nurses rocked out over 50 people we saw there at the time both scheduled & walk ins like ourselves. Wow. Amazing area ,not profit based & will see you once there no matter what. Even better, we got prescription in same building making it super convenient.

Thanks a bunch.

Worst experience ever. They told me my foster daughter had several cavities and referred me to a dentist in Miami. That dentist said she had no cavities, they were already filled, just discolored. I took her back here to get back on track locally and the dentist loudly questioned my parenting skills because I questioned him for wanting to redo work that was already done according to the other dentist. Both the dentist and his assistant accused me of not caring about her health and accused me of being neglectful and refusing to treat her.

This back and forth has been going on for 6 months and they still have not cleaned her teeth. I have to wait another month for that. If you have an option for another dentist in the area, I suggest you take it.

After calling before I changed my insurance in, ensuring that they accepted it. The doctor declined my prescription refill for my chronic condition medication. Harmless albuterol. What kind of doctor does that? NOW I FIND THEY NO LONGER ACCEPT ANYBODY WHO GOT THEIR INSURANCE ON THE MARKETPLACE, WHICH MANY OF US MUST BECAUSE WE’RE SELF-EMPLOYED. They canceled me without any kind of notice now I’m without a doctor.

Does United healthcare not pay? Does Blue Cross not pay? All about the money to this place don’t bring your kids or your family there don’t do it . I had Blue Cross and now I have United healthcare. And I confirmed with them. These people are no good I’m sorry. NO GOOD !!
