No pain he also called me last night to check on me, which I thought was awesome and showed compassion for me. Have a follow up next week for free to make sure all is good. Dr Bob was very nice to me and helped me out and performed surgery on me when I got my jaw broken by multiple people when I was jumped. After the surgery he never told me to see an orthodontist for teeth related issues. So I finally noticed that I needed to correct my bite because it was leading to jaw pain and it really bothered me. Then when that was happening the titanium plate in my jaw that doctor Bob put in during the surgery was really irritating me and causing me pain. I went to doctor Bob he did x-rays and said everything is fine. He would not take the time to listen to my complaints about the metal foreign object in my jaw and how it was bothering me. A couple months went past and I went to him again saying how my jaw is still hurting me and im having alot of pain and my teeth aren't touching.

My jaws and teeth weren't aligning together straight and working properly. He basically completely ignored me again and just referred me to a regular Dentist around the illinois area. I ended up getting the titanium plate removed from an oral surgeon near me and now I finally have braces on and I am getting my teeth fixed. I still have jaw pain, misalignment, and tmj but my orthodontist told me the tmj and jaw misalignment can be from my teeth being out of alignment so we will see what happens. It is sad because I really liked Dr. Bob and thought he was a really good surgeon and a nice guy. I still think he's a good person im just upset about the fact that he didn't tell me to seek orthodontic treatment right after my surgery with him and also why he wouldn't remove the titanium plate HE put in there that was causing me issues.

I also saw on his website that treats tmj and performs tmj surgeries? I literally came to his office complaining that my jaw hurt and that the er diagnosed me with tmj and he just referred me to somebody else? Like come on man that's not cool. I've been dealing with this pain for 5 years now Doc and everytime I visited you to talk to you about the pain you did nothing to help. Im finally getting the help I need 5 years later because you wouldn't take the time to listen to me about what was bothering me and the issues I was having. It's disappointing that im finally getting treatment now when I should have got this treatment right after my surgery with Dr. Bob it could have saved me years of pain, embarrassment, and suffering!! Im sorry I have to write this negative review and give you guys a 1 star because Dr. Bob and the office staff are really good people, but unfortunately they did not help me out with the issues I had after the surgery at all and it's sad😥

Let me start off by saying that the staff are very nice and accommodating in getting me in. I came in referred by my Dentist to have removal of all 4 of my wisdom teeth as I was having horrible pain. I am thankful that they were able to take me in early instead of my set appointment until the following month. When I came in ready for my procedure Dr. Familaro had to ask me why I came in and which teeth he was extracting almost like he had forgotten after we had recently talked about it and he had taken notes. He was also beginning to change the plan to just take two wisdom teeth out instead of all 4 after I clearly stated and we agreed to remove all 4. Very unprofessional that I had to remind him the procedure of what he had to do and worrisome on my end. I am currently taking blood pressure medication to control my blood pressure and have been watching what I eat to control it.

My blood pressure can be elevated but not as bad as 188/100! They checked my blood pressure 3 times on the same upper arm and their monitor wasn’t even reading. I do have bigger arms and they were using a small cuff that wasn’t appropriate for me. They could have used the bp cuff on my lower arm since it was clearly not my size. Then they decided to use a wrist bp monitor that kept reading random numbers way off my usual bp and they couldn’t even know how to turn on. It then read 122/88 which is a great bp reading, but they insisted on taking it manually after reading it over 8 times. Dr. Familaro took my bp and all of a sudden it was 188/100! I’ve never had bp that high and found it ridiculous that he was getting that number, considering I have been eating well, fasted over 6 hours, and have been taking my bp medication. He also claimed he couldn’t find my vein which he didn’t even try to look for them.

The phlebotomist at my doctors office is able to find my veins with no issue. He could have easily used a hot pack, instructed me to close my fist tight, and use a alcohol wipe to wake the vein if that was the issue. I’m very upset that I had to take off of work, mind you I just started and it looks bad on my part towards my employer, and to drive far from home only to not get anything done. I understand safety precautions but seriously 188/100 as bp reading I’ve never had that. They really need to get updated equipment because their equipment may be outdated. I’m very upset about my experience and now have to look elsewhere for my extraction because I’m having horrible pain still. Thanks for wasting my time.

Doctor Bob and his staff are the most wonderful people out there. They went above and beyond accommodating me when I had a difficult extraction my Dentist didn't want to touch. Doctor Bob got me in quickly and assured me there would be no pain. He was right! Twenty minutes later (give or take) they had my tooth out and with precision. I highly recommend Dr. Familaro. You won't be disappointed.
