I fractured my ankle slipping on ice last week and had surgery yesterday (1/15/24). Both the nurses who prepped me for my surgery and cared for me afterward were very friendly and attentive to my needs. The anesthesiologist came in and spoke with me. As anesthesia has made me ill in the past, she adjusted the drugs I received to minimize my nausea and discomfort. I suffered ZERO nausea and only slight dizziness upon waking up! Dr.

Moen was very attentive to my concerns, particularly with medications I had been using that had made me feel ill in the week prior to the surgery, and prescribed new medications to try. The surgical staff were all very friendly, attentive and professional. I felt that from scheduling my appointment to going out the door everyone really cared about my well being. I was listened to and well cared for. I am very thankful that I could have a surgery like this done in our small town! What a blessing to have such a skilled and professional staff at our convenience.

While I wouldn't suggest breaking your ankle, if you happen to, I give five stars to the care you will receive from Dr. Andrew Moen and his skilled team. Thank you Dr. Moen and Essentia!

I can’t say enough good things about this facility. My father, at age 87, was hospitalized at Essentia-Fosston in Oct. 2023. He received excellent care. The staff are professional, kind, and knowledgeable. He was released after a five day stay, and then in the end of April.

2024 he was hospitalized again. He passed away on May 3, peacefully and comfortably, having expert level care. From Carrie Danielson, the social worker, to the doctors and nurses, our family felt so listened to and informed. This is a peaceful place and the employees are friendly.

This hospital continually mis treats patients. doctors will make mistakes and then the patient gets treated like they did something wrong not the medical staff. the nurses will also break privacy rights and divulge private health information to other people. Nurses will also meddle in patients issues when they have been asked numerous times to have nothing to do with a patient’s medical information/treatments. The new hospital administrator will ignore patients calls and voicemails. They do not follow state contracts set in place like coat contracts.

The patient will have to follow the contract but the doctors and the hospital do not. This hospital should be shut down and sued. And the current hospital administrator needs to be fired immediately. It is the administrators job to handle patient disputes with the hospital. It is also that persons job to make sure hospital staff is following laws and also contracts and guidelines for patients care. The current administrator does none of these things.

I truly hope someone that has the ability to go up against this place reads this review and reaches out. I have years and years of proof of patient abuse and mishandling of patient care. I have a recorded video of a doctor in specific completely neglecting patient care and also violating a state contract and not caring if what she had done could cause serious and I mean serious health concerns and even possible death. There is a doctor or 2 that are good and do what they are supposed to do but majority of proper doctors get run off or get fired but the ones that violate hippa and abuse patients and that completely ignore health concerns of patients somehow manage to be there forever and seems like they even get rewards and promotions etc. this hospital 1000 percent needs to have someone come in and go over years of medical history and start helping patients fight back against this hospital as no patient has any ability to have their concerns met with proper actions.
