The foundation of this practice was laid in June 1961 by Dr. Vito E. Mantini, who, after serving in the United States Air Force, acquired a dental practice in Davidsville. Dr. Vito Mantini, a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine (Class of 1959), built a strong reputation for comprehensive and compassionate
dental care.
In the early 1980s, the practice welcomed the next generation of dentists: Dr. Ernest Mantini and Dr. Rocco Mantini, nephews of Dr. Vito Mantini. Both also pursued their dental education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, demonstrating a continued family commitment to excellence in dentistry. In 1984, Drs. Ernest and Rocco expanded the practice by acquiring an additional office in Moxham (Johnstown), further extending their reach and ability to serve more patients. This expansion marked a significant step in the growth of what is now known as Ernest J. Mantini, DMD & Rocco M. Mantini, DMD, or simply "Mantini & Mantini."
A testament to their dedication to providing modern dental care, in April 2000, Drs. Ernest and Rocco Mantini broke ground on a new, state-of-the-art 1600 square foot facility in Davidsville, which officially opened its doors on September 5, 2000. This modern facility, coupled with their Johnstown office, allows them to offer a wide array of advanced dental services.

Neuromuscular Dentistry. Dr. Ernest Mantini, in particular, has pursued extensive continuing education, including achieving a fellowship in Neuromuscular Dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI Global). This specialized knowledge allows them to treat complex issues such as chronic head, neck, and jaw pain (TMJ/TMD) through bite splint therapy and other advanced techniques.
