The office feels like a cozy neighborhood spot, with a kids’ corner full of toys and a waiting area with local magazines.

Dr. Eckland explains treatments clearly, never rushing, and his work is top-notch—my recent filling is painless and blends perfectly. They’re honest about costs, work with insurance, and even opened early when my daughter had a tooth emergency. A practice that feels like family—truly irreplaceable.

I went here because I needed a dental implant, I was told I could not get one until my teeth were straightened. They told me my options were $8k of Invisalign or shaving down my bottom teeth. I have had braces before and my teeth definitely did not need this work. I was also asked for x-rays to reduce charges, which I brought.

They took x rays anyway, told me they wouldn't charge and as I left the office in tears, they took back their promise and made me pay for these X-rays anyway. I have had a long and scary journey with my teeth and I was excited that this was my last step. I have never felt such lack of compassion, I felt they just wanted to bring up my bill. I went to a different practice and got my implant, they told me I had perfectly straight teeth and that teeth should never be shaved down for no reason.

As a Woodinville neighbor, I would not recommend this to anyone. I can't respond to what the owner said, but I was seen there last year, I live down the street, used to work across the street. I'm not sure if they just want to save face by adding that because of my review.

Wow! What an amazing result! I used to be self conscience about my smile because I had worn down my front teeth over the years and my teeth weren't aligned right. Keagan came up with a plan to be able to fix my bite and my teeth without braces or surgery or even having to get numbed or needled! I got Invisalign to get things fixed and in the right place, and then he added composite which made my teeth longer and now I feel like a new man! His staff is amazing from the front desk, the hygienists and assistants.

I can't recommend Eckland Family dentistry enough!

I recently had my first (and only) visit to Eckland Family dentistry, and it left me extremely concerned. Nichole Taylor, dental hygienist, greeted me and proceeded to take X-rays and perform gum measurements. Based solely on her assessment, she diagnosed me with severe periodontal disease and recommended an immediate deep cleaning — all before I had even seen the dentist. When I asked if I could get a regular cleaning and return later for the deep cleaning if needed, I was told that wasn’t possible. According to them, regular cleanings are only for preventive care and not allowed for someone diagnosed with periodontal disease. This felt like an aggressive upsell tactic rather than patient-centered care.

I insisted on seeing the dentist, Emily Chow, who confirmed that the hygienist had the authority to diagnose and recommend treatment. This raised major red flags for me. It seemed as though the hygienist was acting beyond the scope of her license, and the lack of a thorough dental evaluation was deeply troubling. To be safe, I sought a second opinion at another dental office. That dentist found no signs of periodontal disease, said my gums were healthy, and confirmed that a deep cleaning was completely unnecessary. Even if I had needed one, their quoted price was a fifth of what I was told at Eckland.

This experience felt unethical at best and potentially fraudulent at worst. Diagnosing and recommending expensive procedures without a dentist’s evaluation is not only unprofessional but dangerous. I strongly recommend seeking a second opinion before agreeing to any treatment here.
