Dr. Alan Pinkard and East Tennessee Dental Associates are the gold standard for family dental care. My husband and I have been patients for 12 years, and they’ve cared for everything from our kids’ first teeth to my recent crown. Dr. Pinkard is thorough but gentle, with a calm demeanor that puts even my anxious teen at ease. The office feels like a part of the community—staff knows our names, asks about our garden, and remembers that my daughter hates mint toothpaste.
They’re pros at working with insurance and offer fair pricing for treatments. When my husband had a toothache on a weekend, they squeezed him in the next morning. It’s old-fashioned care with modern expertise—reliable, kind, and always focused on us. We’re so lucky to have them nearby.

I can't say enough about the professionalism and efficiency of this office. I am more fearful of dental work / dentist visits than anything else, I always have been. I refuse to go anywhere else because of how comfortable the staff makes me feel here, they go above and beyond to make my experiences as easy as possible.
Dr. Pinkard has done nothing but reinforced my confidence it dentists and my ability to be comfortable in an environment I usually dread.

I can’t say enough, or even begin to thank this group for how fantastic they are! They are professional, courteous, kind, super cool, and go out of their way to treat you on your schedule. Absolutely the best dental experiences I’ve ever had. I don’t know if they are taking new customers, but if they are, you better consider being their next customer.
They crowned a tooth that someone else said needed a root canal. Thank you Dr Pinkard and staff!!!!!!
