I had a very poor experience with the good Doctor. I called and left a VM on a Friday and never heard back so a week later I called again and talked to a receptionist who set an appointment for an exam to check a chipped tooth out. I went to the office and the process went smoothly. Dr. Shahreyar told me I should have a crown put on the tooth, which would take about 2 hours as they do everything in house. The office staff said they would check with Medicare to see if they would pay. About three weeks later they informed me that Medicare would not pay and the charge was 2400. 00.
I emailed back that this was a two hour procedure and most anywhere in the world the procedure cost about 500. 00. I suggested 1000. 00 was a very reasonable amount for the crown. I waited a week and no response. I emailed again and no response. I called and left a VM, nothing. I finally stopped by the office and asked to see the doctor.
The receptionist left the office area to presumably talk to the doctor and when she returned she said the doctor suggested I go to a dentist at VCU. I assumed this was because VCU has a dental school and they work on indigents. I asked her why they had not given me the courtesy of responding to my emails and she said the doctor handles that. I then asked for my records to be emailed to me and she agreed to do so. I was sent a single x-ray. I emailed back asking for ALL my records and then they sent the entire set of x-rays. I happen to own a business and we routinely get asked to lower our prices, we rarely do but we ALWAYS give our customers the courtesy of a prompt response! We treat ALL our customers with the dignity they deserve regardless of their financial situations. I am sure the doctor will do just fine without my business but I wanted you to know!

I had a wonderful experience at this dental office. The doctors are not only skilled but also very knowledgeable. They made me feel comfortable and well cared for. I highly recommend them!

I called the office about scheduling as a new patient and was informed by the lady that if the appointment is ever cancelled or no show for any reason, that I would not be able to get rescheduled; stated it was in their "office policy". I asked what her definition of "cancellation" was because what if there was a death in the family or life-threatening situation, would that excuse it, in a smart rude answer, she told me to "use my best judgment". I don't even know what the hell that was supposed to mean. Life happens, things happen, for that matter. And upon asking to speak with a manager, of course, she "claimed" to be it and wouldn’t get me to anyone else.
I don't know what type of dentist office conducts business in this matter and judging from the reviews, I can use my best judgment and go elsewhere. I could understand after the third or fourth cancellation but to completely DENY business because of a “missed” or “cancelled” appt is quite excessive. So, Julie, i believe the name was, you need to check your stank attitude and learn some better customer service skills. Cause the balls on you over the phone is hiliarious! 🤣 0 out of 5 . .
. would not recommend if you value your time and energy.
