Dr. Jang's Dental Care

This mans the used car salesmen of dentistry. As I’m literally walking out of this office, i realize just exactly how his game is played. What a crook. . . two weeks ago for the 2019 New Years i wanted To get my health together, which includes vision & dental. I visited Dr Jang, and got a checkup my insurance covered. . got a cleaning, X-ray , consultation about a wisdom tooth. I also got news of 2 early cavities forming so Dr jang wanted me back in 2 weeks for 2 fillings, upon which we can schedule a date and time to do my Wisdom extraction since it requires anesthesia. The wrote the appt info on a card and gave it to me. .

in addition to calling to confirm day in advanced about the filling procedure. . So on the big day (today) just 30 mins ago i walk In and Even the receptionist greets me and acknowledges the fact that I’m here for my 2:30 fillings . . i sit down and she puts a smock on me and we talk about scheduling my extraction. . next thing i know Dr. Jang comes now and then has almost clueless to what’s on the agenda for me today. The receptionist basically has to tell him, “HE’S HERE FOR HIS FILLINGS” he then bypasses that and starts to talk about extraction. . but not just the lower wisdom teeth, this guy wants TOP and BOTTOM teeth. He pulls up my X-ray and clearly all I see is 2 red x’s on my lower.

. Now this guy is pull happy and sees only the $$$$ he can bill my insurance company. . (Meanwhile he doesn’t do sedation at his office). I spoke up and said to him, sorry Dr Jang that’s not what you said. . you told me fillings today and I’m not prepared for extractions bc i have a consultation client to meet with later. So instead of doing the filling DR Jang then pulled off my smock and said I’ll see you next time you come in and we’ll take care of the fillings and extractions. I scheduled the appointment but I won’t be back.

The staffs are cold and uncaring, but the dentist is the worst. He is downright disrespectful and uses threats and insults to con you into paying for treatments you don't need. After visiting him for consultation for my grandmother's implants, we just walked out. The price he was quoting was outrageous, and his attitude was rude and belittling. He was yelling at my 90 year old gransmother. He insisted that she needs 3 implants and she only needed 2.

We sensed that he was eyeing us as piggybanks, so my grandmother acted like she doesn't have any money so that he doesn't ratchet up quotes. Little did he know that my grandmother had all the funds to get the implants and that I'm a doctor. I just ended up taking her to a renowned oral surgeon for implants, then to my own trusted dentist for crown. I had visited his office, only because my grandmother and the dentist both speak Korean, but my grandmother preferred my own dentist - a white lady - much, much more, because she was so respectful despite the language barrier. The total fees were much lower than what this conman quoted us. Also, his office- especially the treatment rooms- are filthy.

Yuck. Just remember - you can shop around for dentist. Don't settle for this conman.

UPDATED! So as I'm getting ready to leave for work today I find out somehow my partial got bent and I could not wear it. I was almost in tears because I can't afford new ones. I called Dr. Jang's office and they were so great they fit me in today within hours. I got there and in not even five minutes the Dr. had my teeth fixed!! And he did it with no out of pocket cost to me. I don't know about these other reviews on here but he has never been anything but kind to me. I will refer anyone to him no doubt about it. End of Update- I have not been to a dentist in years due to a severe fear of them.

It seemed like every time I went to a dentist, I always came out in worse shape, but now in more pain. However, Dr. Jang has been so great! He listens to you and works out a plan that you're comfortable with. The Doctor really does put you at ease and is an amazing dentist. I have many more appts. scheduled. Thankyou so much Dr. Jang for helping me with my fear and getting my smile back!!

I usually don’t like giving reviews, especially bad reviews but I had to with Dr. Jang office. This old man is a joke and aggressive with his tools. Wife and I booked 2 cleaning appointments. Wife went first came out with tears because he was too aggressive on the teeth and a mouth full of blood. Then my turn, same thing. He was way too aggressive with his tools and had bad attitude.

Our teeth still feels dirty with a mouth full of blood. It’s a week after the cleaning now and we still feel sores. I do not recommend anyone here. 20 minutes cleaning session? He gotta do better then that. Cleaning usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Do not waste your money here.
