When I found Dr. Harkema I hadn't been to a dentist in over 5 years due to a bad experience with another dentist. Now I would never go to another dentist, he is the best! The staff is great and Dr. Harkema is probably the gentlest dentist I have ever been to and he does great work. The whole staff is like family now!

Dr. Harkema has been our family dentist for over 10 years now. Never a bad appointment. In a recent emergency, he was super. We had to contact over a weekend, he got back with us immediately.

Appointment was set for early on Monday and daughter was fixed up in no time. He is gentle and caring. His staff is simply the best, from both receptionists to hygienists to assistant. I would HIGHLY recommend using Dr. Harkema!!!

Dr. Harkema is AMAZING. He has cleaned my teeth since I moved to Lansing back in 2013 and I have not been disappointed.

When my permanent retainer broke, he referred me out to an orthodontist to get it fixed (they ended up quoting me at $2,000). When I told Harkema, he fixed the wire for me and gave me a cosmetic procedure to fix a slight chipped tooth I had. His fillings are painless, his staff is sooo nice and helpful, what's not to love about this office?? Highly recommend!

I have been going here for 5 years or so, and everyone seems nice and professional but today I called because I'm getting medical treatment every Monday and Wednesday and need to reschedule my cleaning next month. They aren't open on fridays, so I asked about a Tuesday or Thursday afternoon appointment and was told we are only filing canceled appointments not making new ones, so you'll have to wait til August for your cleaning. I said thats 6 months away, so I would be completely skipping this 6 month cleaning. She said, ok I can get you scheduled in late July.

If you could do July then why tell me August was the soonest, and they dont seem that busy anyway. I gave notice as soon as possible, and it felt like their response was - whatever, we'll see you in 6 months.
